- Just Stop Oil activists have sprayed two jets with orange paint at a private airfield in Stansted where they say Taylor Swift's plane landed before her shows at Wembley stadium.

The group said on X: 'Private jet users are responsible for up to 40x as much carbon emissions compared with a commercial flight'. The previous day, Just Stop Oil protesters sprayed Stonehenge with orange powder paint before the summer solstice.

Stansted - where you can't leave a car for more than 15 minutes when picking someone up - yet these people get in unchallenged!
This is a far more effective and valid protest compared to painting Stonehenge. Taylor Swift should be using her visibility to address the problem and make some form of substantive change, the same as anybody in a position of power and influence. Right now her needle seemed buried in the "I don't actually care" end of the scale.
And she will still not care no matter how much they do. All they doing is wasting time.
If you want the message heard, go towards the political circles. Private people will regard you as annoying nuisances at best

At least it's actually to do with carbon emissions this time. The millionaire's and billionaires of our 🌎 are contributing to climate change at levels those of us from lower socioeconomic backgrounds could only dream of. These are the targets JSO should stick to, they might actually garner support if so instead of targeting historic monuments, artworks and nature itself
Do you people not understand that the Earth is starved for CO2? Do you not know that CO2 makes plants grow faster and larger and with much less water? Do you not know that through ice cores taken in antartica that we positivly know that CO2 has nothing to do with our climate? Did you know there were periods in earths history when it was so cold that there was 900 feet if ice covering chicago, seattle, berlin and CO2 levels were not the current 400 parts per million but 4000 parts per million? No, i didnt think you did.
Might want to learn how to use an angle grinder. leather gloves and goggles would be a start and never point it down towards your legs, always point away from the body, if that slipped it would make mincemeat of the main leg arteries causing a bleed to death situation.

first stone henge, which is a big crime, now entering an airport, which is a big crime too!
Breaking into an airport is a serious offence, they could have been shot by armed police, or if not that injured themselves or even be killed by the hazards of an operating ramp, been hit by a GSV or a number of other things. That fence is there for the safety of you, not just the aircraft. This should carry a hefty prison sentence, if their intentions were unknown and they were seen with those bags sneaking into the airport then they could have been suspected of terrorism.
Well done girls, you've saved the planet. It was touch and go for a while there.
