You can take those k clamps off and use the wireless joints love that setup i have a three port and use a a micron gauge for pulling vaccums with that appion kit you mentioned but the new sm382 looking sexy with all the new features thinking of upgrading to those with the new a2L move
I have the first gen Testo kit, I knew in 15 minutes that I made a mistake buying them. The range was about 10 feet. I put them on my home unit turned the corner of my garage and lost the signal. This was the most expensive tool that I bought that was a mistake.
I have a ir temp gun I’ve had for around 25 years it’s pretty accurate . They are actually meant for taking temp of motor cases. But will get you close ish on supply vents .
On your infrared temperature instrument there is no temperature calibration for different types of metal's they just read surface temperature no good for air temperature. And like you said about the shinny surface just use some non reflective tape.
@@HVACTechKnowledgy Oh. About the video. Great content, as usual. Sounds like education with you. I become more of a good tech after watching you. Thanks a lot.
Nice! Hopefully they upgraded the springs as well because the springs in the first GEN don’t apply enough pressure for the thermistors to clamp tightly on the lines, causing improper, sub, cooling and superheat readings. These things are pretty much useless.
I have the 1st gen testo and I have never had a problem with them. I stay connected through 3 floors onto the roof. I this you may had gotten a bad set my friend.
you are so full of shit...every one who bought the 1st gen testo knows they only had a 15-20 ft range..that is why they had to come out with a gen 2 for longer range....show a video of it working thru 3 floors like you say or its a lie 🙄😂
