Bison's defense sucks, but people who don't block are double perfect machines for him. Try to win neutral for sure, but don't be DP'ing or jumping on every knowckddown because the risk/reward isn't on your favor. lol
@@Shakenbake-in9ux The same way you beat any character in neutral. Use your characters' skip, plus moves or whiff punish. lol There is a couple of Bison specific things you could do though. Walking and blocking is simple but is great at screwing up scissors' spacing. You'll either get a 5 frame punish into KD or push him to the corner. Neutral jump is also a pretty low committal option that Bison still struggles to deal with. Psycho Crusher should, theoretically, be his answer to this. But that thing sucks as an anti-air and will most likely lose to your neutral jump into HP/HK. If you're going for jump ins, empty jumps can completely fuck up a Bison player that dos cHP into backfist because that only combos on CH or PH. And since backfist is a move that takes forever, you get a free and beefy punish here.
@@Shakenbake-in9ux It gets stuffed incredibly often. It's not a good use for two bars. I've just been doing DR into cHP. You need to react faster, but it's far more consistent.
Videos like these are extremely helpful for someone like me who doesn't spend a lot of time with the game, I don't have the character so I can't lab anything, so I'm just forced to figure it out on the fly-while being a very slow learner. I see the situation of whiffing an anti-air normal on a whiffed stomp and you being +10 after, I know that, if I'm close enough, I could probably reach with Juri's HP and still punish.
I feel like air to airing devil's reverse is the better option to deal with it because stomp isn't the only way he can bait your anti air normal. If the Bison player instead decides to pull back his trajectory with devil's reverse to make your anti air normal whiff, devil's reverse has basically 0 zero landing recovery and he can then punish counter your anti air normal with light scissor kick
@@EvilPineappl You can literally find someone in the hub or in the super friendly discord serves of ANY streamer to practice against Bison and they will give you tech if you're on chat. I don't understand you people. There's even an online training mode option in custom rooms dude.

3:13 I found out about this while playing as Marisa with lvl3 stocked. I noticed how long after I popped lvl 3 from afar, it still counted as a punish counter. This "feint" is never threatening especially if you have any forward advancing supers.
Devils reverse is blanka levels of bad when you remember you have to notice if he did a regular jump or a devils reverse, and if you dont and choose wrong you are already in a bad spot, so its another layer on top of the already extreme mental stack of this game, that throws off your jump reactions and gets you absolutely demolished for reacting wrong.
Its insane how they decided to have not only DR which if you raw DR it functions simillar to a jump in where its down to the opponent to hit you out of it and then ON TOP OF THAT they give characters Devils Reverse, Blanka's whole kit and things like Akuma's demon flip and air fireballs and divekicks etc to make you basically fight against 3-4 different "jump-ins" at once. I hate it here.
16:23 I'm fairly sure light scissors would clip that backdash, although it'd be a pretty scary option because it's certainly not spaced to be safe if you just block. I haven't ran into players that backdash after sHP, but I have fought people who backdash a lot after a spaced scissors. Two LK scissors in a row works wonders here, the second is also usually safe against all but the most fucked up 5 frames (like Ken's sLK).
As a Jamie player, that might sound crazy but I do well against Bison and Akuma more that any other characters. For the tricky jump, just jump Heavy kick, same thing with Akuma Demon's flip
I play Bison but I also have trouble against Bison (and I suck extra hard at mirror matches), so this is useful for my scrub ass. Also, I'm so terrible, I didn't even realise different versions of Psycho Mine gave different oki. I use different versions, but it has 100% been dependent on what combos I'm able to land.
his regular jump and specials are all very floaty, I'll just jump forward with a button as soon as he leaves the ground. I should be landing first if I don't hit him, and it gives me enough time to react to whatever.
Akuma has like 4 built in reversal options that are all really good Bison has 0 The pure difference is in execution, Bison gets way more damage off way easier while spending less resources than essentially any other character
@@Vanity0666 does he? I've found playing as and mostly against Bison he seems really meter heavy to get the majority of his heavy damage but he just has really good buttons and moves to win over neutral. Plus he needs a bomb active to get his heavy damage.
