I HAVE DONE RESEARCH ON THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A VIOLIN AND A FIDDLE AND DISCOVERED SOMETHING ALONG THE WAY FORGIVE THE ALL CAPS, THIS COMMENT HAS BEEN PLAGUING MY MIND FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS AND I FEEL VERY EXCITED AND ACCOMPLISHED (Also sorry if you already know most of this, I’m putting in a little bit of difference I found because I think it sounds better that way) So, fiddles are for more folksy music, and usually have a different material for their strings, like steel rather than plastic. They also have flatter bridges to make playing easier, and instead of being held under the chin, they’re usually played on the musician's arm because fiddle music usually requires the player to sing, and you can't do that with your jaw holding an instrument down. I think that means he can be holding it the way he does because of the singing? Idk

Honestly that’s the same story with me, and watching the full series the little details with this really shine, like how when the duet part starts David just fucking stomps away the red in a subtle yet really satisfying force, since he usually lets everybody, especially max, treat him like garbage.
