15 years and WiC still on of the best RTS ever made. A perfect balance between realism and gameplay mecanics, one of the best stories for a strategy game and graphics that aged fine. Love this game
I loved this game. This and Battlefield 2. I got the retail version that came with a piece of the Berlin Wall. It was awesome they got Alec Baldwin to narrate.
Despite the bottomless pit the current Russian military has currently nosedived into, I maintain that the Red Army was a formidable foe. I mean, their manpower, industry and resources included not only Russia, but also Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Armenia. They were equipped with weaponry that was, perhaps not cutting edge, but certainly capable for it's time. Russia has fallen far, *far* from that legacy.
Oh yes absolutely. And also the sheer numbers that they produced, how many thousands of tanks did they have… Too bad their overblown defense budget caught up with them in the end.
