Nice. I like the feature that the whole assembly goes inside the hitch receiver. Gives it a clean install look.
So no relays required? The LED light wires up directly to the reverse wire on the hitch loom? Correct?
Correct. I installed one of these kits a few months ago, just plug and play, no relays required.

Everything is plug and play right into your hitch plug.
The diode dynamics website lists compatible models and my 2003 GX470 is not on the list. You know why GX470 not plug and play?
I do have the 7-pin connector for the trailer and the 2” hitch.
May I know what size is that hitch pin?
If the small wire for the flashing light is cut, will the light still work as a brake light? Just without the flashing effect?

Nope!
Depends on the model of your truck. Mine did, but Diode Dynamic included an extra wire that pluged into the harness and then you route it to the brake wire in your taillight which fixes the issue.

That's a good question. I'm sure they are but to what extent is the question. Maybe we should test this.
