    Damn that's a nice one for being in such a small boat, dangerous too. Yeah you got to shoot the bigger ones sometimes.pull them up all the time in Alaska while fishing for other stuff. Best eating hands down, grilled fish tacos I always use halibut

    sick fish. How much line do you like between the primary and the trap hook?

    • @Mr.Markus.
      @Mr.Markus.  4 роки тому

      Anthony Esposito Just depends on the size of my bait. I use a sliding snell knot so I can adjust the distance between the hooks for each bait. One hook in the nose, one hook just behind the adipose fin.

    I learned that trolling a sabiki for mackerel on your way out is the most efficient and effective way to get your bait for the day.

    I'm thinking of getting a GPS, sonar,...for my Kickboat and kayak and set it up in a way that I can swap it between them. The size you have seems nice. Would you recommend it? Or...?

      Mine is a Lawrence Hook2 5" They definitely help a ton. I mainly fish for halibut which you can't see on a fish finder but its great for finding bait as well as knowing depth and bottom structure.
