god these look so sick! and honestly? against the XM5s, that are like 300+, probably would go with these if the comfort and sound is there - seems like they are. love the clips for travel! and the physical button is so much better than the touch feature on the XM5, which always seems to get messed up in the rain
Definitely worth it, I,ve own Major IV for about two years now, battery is amazing, comfortable and stylish. I used them for the gym so yes they are durable.
How's the durability of it's leather band & ear pad? My experience with Major I & II band/pad are bad, and my friend with Major III also got the same problem. That's why I haven't bought the Major after Major II, although really loved their sound. But kinda considering Major V rn.
I collect on-ear headphones and, without a doubt, Marshall Major IV is the most comfortable one i own (over Sony, Soundcore, Edifier, JBL on ear-headphones). With that being said, it is disappointing that the Major IV has no app to customize EQ compared to the others. So the Major V having an app is a great upgrade to the Major IV.
Honestly the no EQ is the best part of the major IV For me, they are perfectly tuned, No reason to change anything ever, I LOVED that, I hated having to go mess with that shit on old headphones, marshall made the right choice getting rid of that.
i bought the major 4 back in black friday of 2021, i got left xtremely and i mean xtremely happy with them, from the day i bough them i am using them for at least 7h every day, and i mean everyday for anything. The battery for sure is the strongest feature, after 3 years iam still going 2 weeks without a single charge, and again ,everyday for 7h minimum. Sound is great, style is great, comfortability is great, build quality is great. For sure iam going for the major 5 especially if they drop like 20 bucks/euros like the major 4 did.
I upgraded from Major 3's which I had for almost 5 years. The earcuffs are way more comfortable, but the button feels more flimsy and plastic. I click it accidentally instead of doing any other action way too often. The m-button is actively making them worse. It's useless, it's in the place of the knob from previous models, to make sure veterans accidentally reach for it out of habit. It's has no functionality outside of playing a random song on spotify. It didn't have to be a button, but spotify is getting desperate. Lack of color options is not enticing either. I think those may be the last marshall majors ever if they tank badly
I've recently purchased these and I'm quite impressed with the sound. I do like to use wired connection as we all know the sound quality wired is better than Bluetooth - or should be. So here's my problem. Tidal! When you connect these or any BT headphones to the Tidal app up pops a message telling you that Bluetooth compresses the sound quality . .. This is not what I'm paying for with Tidal. So I connected the very thin little supplied headphones cable - no sound!! It turns out that you have to turn the volume up full on both the headphones and your source. For me that's Sony AW45 and my Sony Xperia 10 mobile. It's the only way you can hear anything and I'm not sure that the sound quality with cable is any better.. be interested to hear what others have to say. I must admit the Bluetooth connection is actually rather pleasant to listen to. And the bass definitely there if you need it.
Still rocking my Major II since early 2018 and they are working great. The head band and ear cups faux leather though, has cracked and pealed. Maybe I should finally upgrade to the Vs.
I replaced my main RODE NTH-100 editing headphones for these and have been enjoying them a lot. Much lighter and comfier yet they still have that neutral sound.
Not sure why Marshall won't comply with the industry standard of putting the cable connector on the left hand side. And switching the gold joystick/selector from left to right was a terrible move for people who have years of muscle memory with it on the left.
Nothing too “major” - had to do it. It’s mostly that the band and cup positioning has been improved to allow the drivers to better be placed against your ears for improved delivery. The biggest upgrade hands down is the 100+ hours of playback now.
I really love the design of the Major IV and V but i would skip, im decided to buy some Soundcore Q45 for their stats but i have to accept that they look ugly beside the Major V
@@SahilJain6 They launched today in India. They will not have prime day discounts, but will have credit card offers that are applicable during prime day.
Yes, but as always with on-ear Bluetooth headphones, the lack of a second (ambient noise) microphone means that they pick up a lot of background noise and the call quality suffers on the other end for the person you are speaking to.
They're basically the same design wise. The only noticeable differences are 20 hours less battery life, no M button, & no support through the Marshall app. The sound and volume are also the same on both IV & V when you don't use the app to change the equalizer settings.
@@User-VerseS no, i can't 😁 i was not arguing indeed, besides i am planning to buy one of these and really confused. I bought sennheiser hd 458bt. I didn't like it and sent back. Just need real user comment
@@mstfbala Well, I have the IV and the first day I used them, I feel asleep with them on. Woke up and didn't feel any discomfort. So not only is the sound quality great, but they're very comfortable & I would recommend them. But if you're willing to spend a bit more, might as well get the V.
I just brought the Major V's love them for all these features. Comfort, compact, bluetooth, & sweet tiny controls. I can't stand buds. I hear no external noise with the Major V's. The sound is what made me buy them icing on the cake 🍒 Marshall's quality has never let me down. ❤🐨👍🏼🇦🇺🦘
What do you think? Would you Buy or Skip? 🎸🤘
I buy major iv because it has been reduced to 103$

These headphones are incredible. I own a pair, and on a single charge, the battery lasts me several months. I am a pretty heavy listener too.
I kinda love these! Marshall knows sound too - and the physical buttons? It’s a need 😊
Definitely worth it, I,ve own Major IV for about two years now, battery is amazing, comfortable and stylish. I used them for the gym so yes they are durable.
I am looking for then for the same reason, does the leather band not fade away with time?
How's the durability of it's leather band & ear pad?

I wonder how much difference there is between them and Major IV’s because these are $50 cheaper for me
so u did the earphone review without talking about the sound quality ... god job (sarcasm)
I have Major 4 and like them a lot. I am thinking of buying Major 5. Is there enough of a sound quality improvement over Major 4?
Love this headphone type as they are harder to snap when sleeping

i LOVE my Major IV's 100% best headphones ive tried.
I just got mine delivered, they are awesome
Do they support AAC? Asking since I usually play music via iPhone. Thank you
Do they have a integrated mic (to take phonecalls)?
Im getting these for my Birthday on Sunday, I can't wait to use them whist editing on my MBP!

been using it for a bit, I thought it was lightweight, it squeezes my head where I can hear my blood pulsate.
how is the phone quality and furthermore the sound?
they look so flexy!!

On ear*
This is ON-ear and not over-ear.
Would you recommend to change my Major 4 to 5? Bought them only 1.5-2 months ago))
Did you buy major 5? If yes, can you spot the changes in sound?
Do you think they can handle gym use? Cool review bro!🔥
Can we use the usb c port for audio and not just charging?
Do these work with wire as well? 3.5mm jack?
Same design as last year? Do some research, the IV's were released in 2020.

The ear cups look too small for my ears unfortunately. I do like the design though, but I’ll have to pass!
Heyy I was wondering if the leather cushion on the ear cups and headband peel easily cuz I’ve had that problem with my JBL headphones :(
Been using them for several hours each week since and they’ve held up very well. Barely any sign of use! - Paul

The Marshall app doesn't support the IV, so the equalizer settings can't be adjusted like the V can.
can they play music through the aux cable even if the headphones are drained?
Yes... The headphones are then powered by the headphone amp in the device you are using.
wait you can clip the folded headphones ?
Yes! One of its best features!

Is Marshall good for calling/ office calling - laptop?
did you buy the headset? how is it for office uses
No, I bought sony ch720...
any update of lunching of moitor 3?
Very curious about this too! Saw it says "new over ear wireless headphones coming soon" on their site. Just dont know how long it has been there

The manufacturer shows as 106 db max volume for Major 5. It's 99 db for Major 4. The difference is because of the app, or the hardware? @@User-VerseS
