- We caught over 60+ fish in this small creek! They were biting it all! From rapalas, spinners, flys, trout magnets, worms, etc… These are the days we dream about!
The small mountain creeks are always the best, especially when you time the stock correctly. We took a guess and it panned out.
Stocked rainbows are a majority of what we have here in AZ so don’t come for me lol. There is a small brown trout population but nothing crazy.
This goes to show catching bigger trout even if they’re stocked can be a ton of fun. Get out there and get you some!

You should try silver creek in show low it’s a small creek but I always get some fish out of it and the record trout was caught there 19 pounds
I keep hearing about the place, I just usually go for the day and silver creek is a hike from the valley
Just be sure to go there when it's freshly stocked or in the winter while the large holdover trout are still in there. The place is fished out quickly in the summer.
