It would be cool to know what them coppers were thinking AS they were driving all over trying to catch him XD "We never seen a drunk like THIS before"!
It would have been even funnier if there was a rare police officer with a sense of humor and police replied snarkily before dragging him out of the car. I'll always remember the time when an stupid arrogant kid in my high school class started arguing with the teacher and he didn't realize he was in trouble until the teacher said "well I've never sent somone to the principals for insolence before but ....". This teacher could maintain order without getting angry because he always outsmarted the students and then came down hard on them, there was no getting away with stuff.
Bill Murray's laugh when he swerves in front of the train is the same laugh we hear when he swerves in the Mini Minor in his other great movie "The Man Who Knew Too Little".
"Let me handle this. Yeah uh two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda."
"2 packs of Marlboros, some Snowballs, and a Jumbo Coke." That always stuck in my head as one of the worst combos of things you could consume. I might do it one day just to see how horrendous you'd feel.
Not to be a dick, but he’s been dead for almost 10 years now… we gonna do the whole “RIP” thing for the rest of time? You didn’t know him personally. Time to move on

At 4:34 when they’re driving on the railroad tracks makes me think of running scared with Billy Crystal and the late Gregory Hines which is ironic because 6 years later Billy crystal worked with Harold Ramis and Robert De Niro on analyze this.
My feelings on the "glass half empty vs half full" thing is simply determined by whether the glass is being emptied or filled. The man is Drinking that glass of beer. It's therefore half empty. If he was filling it, it would be half full.
Funny that as the scene with his dead corp shows, one of his versions in fact really wakes up in the cell and faces the consequences. So his behavior is quite egoistic toward his copies in parallel worlds.
It's a bit mean because he woke up in his round hog day and they woke up in their screwed up reality and he was no where to be seen. Actions have consequences in any Universe.
Ralph has so few lines in the movie, but "That about sums it up for me" is delivered so perfectly.
Yes … he goes on to a successful career in the food service industry.
"Oh yeah! Don't drive on the railroad tracks!"
"Well, Phil, that's one I happen to agree with."
😂😂😂😂😂
It would be cool to know what them coppers were thinking AS they were driving all over trying to catch him XD "We never seen a drunk like THIS before"!
I love that whole sequence from the "How's tomorrow for you?" to the "Too early for flapjacks?". It's just masterful scriptwriting.

"Do you want to vomit here, or in the car?" "I think both." Hilarious!

"If we wanted to hit mailboxes we'd let Ralph drive.' 😂😘😂
"I THINK BOTH" and "TOO EARLY FOR FLAPJACKS?" are basically regular sayings around my household.
One of the funniest moments is when he ordered sweet Vermouth with a twist of lemon and absently throws it down. The look on his face... priceless.

02:00 for those two guys, that's their reality. And that Cadillac is a classic.
5:20 bro was stone cold sober 🤣
I noticed that, too. Good tip before hitting the road: Almost go head-on with a locomotive. You'll be alert.
RIP Harold Ramis
Yeah 😢
Not to be a dick, but he’s been dead for almost 10 years now… we gonna do the whole “RIP” thing for the rest of time?
You didn’t know him personally. Time to move on
Goodbye Moe Green from SCTV.

"What would you do if you were stuck in one place and every day was exactly the same and nothing that you did mattered?"
"That about sums it up for me."
Flap jacks every day !!!
You know, I used to think that line was funny. Now that I’m older, it’s sad
The MAIN phrase in whole movie 😊👍👍
@@kevinobrien9271 Everything that you do matters to you, though. It doesn't necessarily matter to anyone else.
Seconded@@kevinobrien9271
Best scene from that movie.
Flapjacks. I walk around reciting the stupid flapjacks line all the time lol.
BRILLIANT!!!
"Hey, lets not forget seatbelts"... (Then proceeds to drive down the railroad tracks) Safety First! 😁
"Is the police, slow immediately" with flutter from driving on the train tracks. xD xD xD xD xD!!!!!!
I love the fact the writers chose flapjacks specifically. It could have been pizza or burger but flapjacks is way funnier 😂
One of the best movies ever.
5:44 Let me handle this. Yeah ah 3 cheeseburgers 2 large fries 2 chocolate shakes and 1 large coke.
And some flapjacks
Too early for flapjacks. 5:59 Phil is in jail.
This is epic
I've always been tempted to say that if a cop pulled me over.
0:28 - When you tell the doctor you're skeptical of the medical industry.
😂😂😂😂😂Classic comedy at its best
I’m crying laughing 😂
That last scene was great, but it would never have happened because of the blizzard that came in?
You fools. If we're talking aerospace engineering then that glass is completely full of _fluids._
Not sure if this is meant as a joke, but Bill Murray character in ghostbuster’s was a paranormal physiologist. 😂
Harold Ramis directed and wrote the screenplay for Groundhog Day.
Psychologist, surely.
Peter and Egon 👻
That police car definitely got hit by the train
I'm betting he swerves first. LOL
Iam not going to live by their rules anymore! Hahahahaha hahahahaha
Well I noticed that 😀
If only I could spend my next vacation were I get to do ANYTHING with zero consequences. 😊😊😊
That's Biden's life every day.
That Paul guy's trip to Japan
all this scene is missing is about 5 more seconds when he wakes up next morning not in jail and with smile

I wonder if that doctor believed him that night when the blizzard really did hit
The only bad thing about this movie is that it was where Murray and Ramis fought and didn't speak to one another until Harold was sick and dying.
And some flap jacks .. yes!!! Funniest part of the whole f movie
Did the police get run over by the train? 😀😀😀
Yes. Good thing they were fine the next day.
yep
*wakes up in jail the next day
When I first watched this movie I really consider this scene my favorite from the movie Groundhogs Day
I saw that movie in the theater back in 93 I never caught that after hitting that mailbox, the car had no damage 😂??

4:26 Oh yeah, don't drive on the railroad tracks.
Great movie...😂
1:16 - what song is this?
The glass is half-empty. You're drinking it. If you were pouring beer into it, it would be half-full.
"Let me handle this..."
Bill sounds so much like Pedro Pascal
That would be the other way around
My feelings on the "glass half empty vs half full" thing is simply determined by whether the glass is being emptied or filled. The man is Drinking that glass of beer. It's therefore half empty. If he was filling it, it would be half full.
Everybody forgets the third type that says "Hey I ordered a cheeseburger!"
fluid naturally evaporates from an open container, so per your metric they are always half empty.

There is 45 minutes of deleted scenes for this movie.
“Bill Murray Scene”…. Well the whole movie was a Bill Murray scene lol.
What happened to the cops chasing on the railroad tracks?
Rekt and respawned next day
He was seen behind him going down the road.

Pancakes.
Flap Jack's are oatmeal cakes ,look up Google and you'll see what they look like
US flapjacks are pancakes
UK flapjacks are oat bars.

I never understood why he wanted flap jacks, when he was about to blow chunks a few minutes ago.
