I've been hoping beyond hope for this as well. Lodge 49 was such a uniquely bizarre, subtly hilarious, and endlessly fascinating show with some of the most human characters (and absurd situations) ever depicted on screen. The biggest cancellation travesty since Firefly. THE WORLD NEEDS MORE DUD!
Was introduced to Wyatt in the falcon and Winter soldier movie. I thought to myself, wow this no name actor is getting a lot of screen time. Now I know why. Him being Kurt's son is just icing. They are both amazing in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters
they are playing the same character too at different life stages and while both having pretty solid stand-alone performances. monarch isn't a perfect show, but those two are really the stars of the drama. i care more about shaw's character and history because of the father and son's talent. its like they workshopped shaw together during preproductions.
@@remyd8767 Yes it has flaws, some big ones even. But damn, it is so much better than it has any right to be. I think if someone would cut those 10 Episodes down to maybe 6, it's an easy 9/10. I know Kurt Russel will never see this and nobody connected will but I’m 20 years old and when I was growing up my all time favorite movie was Follow Me Boys with Andy Griffith and Kurt Russel, not a movie you can even find on Disney+ but in my opinion a classic. "We really shook the pillars of heaven, didn't we Wang?"- Jack Burton.
I have never disliked any movie that Kurt did. i do not recall a movie he was in and said "I didn't like that." Never did. It was always, at least, good.
Wyatt did a good job as the new captain America.his job was to make you NOT like him and he did it so well so well in fact that people were hating him and that’s how you know you did your job as an actor lol
Why would anybody NOT like John Walker? He did nothing wrong and was the real hero of that show.
How did I never make the connection that they're related... I couldn't think of a cooler Dad to have than Kurt Russell
Wyatt is so dope. GIVE US SEASON 3 OF LODGE 49!
I could listen to Kurt Russell bust up laughing all day. What a beaming sunshine
Was introduced to Wyatt in the falcon and Winter soldier movie. I thought to myself, wow this no name actor is getting a lot of screen time. Now I know why. Him being Kurt's son is just icing. They are both amazing in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters
I first saw him in the world war 2 zombie movie called overlord from 2018. His one of the main characters and was awesome.
they are playing the same character too at different life stages and while both having pretty solid stand-alone performances. monarch isn't a perfect show, but those two are really the stars of the drama. i care more about shaw's character and history because of the father and son's talent. its like they workshopped shaw together during preproductions.
@@audri8152 agreed. The show definitely has flaws, but the shaw character is great
@@remyd8767 Yes it has flaws, some big ones even. But damn, it is so much better than it has any right to be. I think if someone would cut those 10 Episodes down to maybe 6, it's an easy 9/10.
Right now it's hovering at 7 - 7.5/10 for me personally, depending how the last Episode will go. If it really sticks the landing, maybe it's even an 8/10. But if it fails... Maybe 6.5/10.
Kurt Russell is amazing. Love everything he has ever done.
Kurt Russell is the 🐐
Both are so great in Monarch TV series.
I know Kurt Russel will never see this and nobody connected will but I’m 20 years old and when I was growing up my all time favorite movie was Follow Me Boys with Andy Griffith and Kurt Russel, not a movie you can even find on Disney+ but in my opinion a classic. Even back then the emotion in his acting always impressed me, his catalog of movies really is huge.
Such a bigbrained move to have Wyatt play Kurt in the flashbacks from the Godzilla show
Yea Kurt Russell is one of my favorite movie actors of all time. So many great characters!
Conan
1963 - xxxx
Son, husband, father, and actually funny.
This is so great. I have loved Kurt Russell for most of my adult life. This interview only added to that love.
for me I will always see him as McCready, what a fantastic movie The Thing was(forget the prequel)
He was an amazing player. Great family and actors.
For anyone out there interested in Wyatt Russell's work, please *PLEASE* give the AMC program 'Lodge 49' a try. It is an absolute delight, and his character work is unparalleled.
After seeing both Russell boys in the Monarch LoM show, I'm convinced the family has some 'Hapsburg' genetics.
Kurt and Goldie have a home in Northern Ontario and they’ve always had a great reputation as nice and down-to-earth. This interview proves it.
I'd give anything to see Kurt and John Carpenter make another movie together. I don't even care what it is. Some producer needs to just give them money and let them make whatever they want.
One more Snake Plissken movie. 👍
I think that Carpenter is retired
@@thedude4672 That means very little in an industry where you don't have an actual job. When you're a director or actor, you just keep producing new movies. In part it's necessary to do so regularly to stay relevant and keep your connections, but Kurt Russell is still very active and John Carpenter is a renowned director who does not need to do that anymore. If he wants to make a movie, all he has to do is make a movie.
But yeah, maybe he just doesn't want to anymore, that's fine. Would be awesome to see more from them both together, though.
