And to think a year or so before Neil wrote this straight forward (by Rush's standards) song, he was working in tractor supply company. How he couldn't find a band to utilize his already immense talent is beyond me. Beyond what Geddy and Alex said about Neil's audition, they had to been floored. In 3:25, Neil had already mastered a 4/4 rocker on his first album- definitely time to move on to other drumming adventures! As for you, your drumming amazes me. Your dexterity, speed, precision and economy of motion is really fantastic and I hope you find much success.
Hello from Sacramento. I’ve admired your drumming for a while now . As usual, I’m so blown away and impressed with your dedication and skill. I want to tell you that listening to your drumming of Neil is so comforting at this time. Thank you for respectfully keeping his art alive. You sir, are a badass! 💔💪🏻❤️🥁
You have an insane amount of patience and dedication to learn these tracks note for note, some of Neil's fills are so unorthodox and random that it's not something you can ever hope to improvise or guess correctly. Flawless!
Drumming wise, I think some of Neil's most difficult parts are on “Fly By Night” and “Caress Of Steel”. Neil was always a big inspiration on my drumming and drumming journey. He’s one of the drummers that made me want to pick up the sticks and play along with people like Bill Bruford, Phil Collins, Stewart Copeland, Jeff Porcaro and others. When I watch you play, I see the extraordinary skill and mind Neil had to compose his parts. Thank you for your covers and for keeping Neil’s legacy alive. Thank you from NY. Stay safe and be careful.
Peart's fill about 2:57 after Geddy completes the line 'but I'll try anyway' dwarfed the rest of the song for me since I first heard it in 1975. I believe Sterling uses Peart's exact sticking and that's a compliment.
@@SterlingPatrickFuentes Haha I know how you feel.. I'm my own worst critique too.. Though I'd even go as far as to say the drums sound similar to the album version this time around too!
@@KinProductions Yeah, I think they do a little as well! Although my cymbals are way too bright to sound anything like a classic set. A Customs really cut through!
Se eu pudesse te pagaria 1 milhão só por causa dessa homenagem que você presta a grande banda Rush (a maior de todos tempo, na minha opinião) e em especial ao nosso eterno professor Neil Peart.

Another great rendition from one of my favorite Rush albums with the best drum sound. You got what it takes to make it on your own.

Why are there not 10k likes? Keep up the amazing work Sterling.
The mix this time was 10 times better!!
Everything is nice and even and the cymbals aren't as overwhelming!
Thanks! It's a little better this time around, still could use work though.
