I was wondering if you can rotate one of the section planes so that they're no longer parallel. It works! Now the section plane actually rotates through the model during animation. Kind of a cool effect!
That's a very cool demonstration Aaron, I've seen it many times before and done it a few times myself just for fun but it's yet another illustration of how good SketchUp is.
I’ve been on the internet for TWO DAYS looking for quick ways to SIMPLY animate my sketch up projects! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! yes yes yes!! So easy and simple!!
I did a Sketchup section plane animation in 2018 of the interior and exterior of my house design using a slightly different technique and multiple point of view. I don't believe I can post it in the comments here as it is a 32 MB. How do I share it.
Thank you. A suggestion to improve retention. From 0:12 to 0:52 instead of talking, pls, show us (tease?) what we are going to learn. So we know if this is what we need or want to learn. It will be even better, if you show the "result" right away at 0:06 . In that way, you create expectation and interest. Thank you for your teachings. Cheers
Excellent! Thanks. Yes, I'm also leaving all the elements selected when creating a scene, but sometimes the visible tags. I'll definitely play with these options more now!

I stumbled on this when I was exploring Section Planes for the firs time and it completely suits the "build" I'm trying to animate.

Wish I could add the "OH WOW GIF from The Office on this one....because...OH WOW ! 😮👍
Including those options in the left was something way more important to note. Thanks

I can\t get the section to add stuff in correctly when making animation in different groups.

Please try to animate different objects in the same scene like the furniture, wall, floor etc. Tnank you.
its a cool thing
Well done. For some reason my mind gets stuck on wanting to move the single Section between scenes, rather than having one Section in each scene.
Could you offer a link or other means to locate the model that you downloaded from 3d Warehouse?
Hi Aaron. How can I get the container 3D drawing?
Hi Aaron
Could you take this a bit further and suggest ways to make a clip for Facebook or LinkedIn?
All you have to do once you have the scenes made is go to File - Export and export a video! Then you can post it wherever you like!
Aaron you are getting old buddy👴👴
I did some cool section cuts and camera flights, just to realize that my Twilight Render couldn't display them section cuts.
Twilight Render² can display section cuts. You set it from within the render window before you start rendering. It’s at the top of the window.
Great tips for animated sections.
Very good.
Thanks.
Very clever. I would have never discovered this on my own!
Thank you Aaron. Great tutorial!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to sketch a container house could you give me some

Hey! We did that once! ua-cam.com/users/livezkjnuOTl6V8?feature=share
