Finally! I’ve found the Windows 7 version. This one used to be uploaded in abundance on UA-cam. Now I can barely find it. There’s plenty of remixes-not interested in those yet, and Windows XP versions being uploaded (that was the one I was looking for back when the Win7 version was uploaded a lot).
For achieving that classic Win98/WinXP sound, you use a soundfont called scc1t2.sf2 (you know if it's the right file when it is 3.1 Megabytes in size) That's a Roland SC-55 "clone" I believe. Also known as Microsoft Wavetable Synth (or is that a different one? please someone drop the full story of it, this stuff is fascinating for whatever odd reason LOL)

I migrated back because I'm not willing to put up with random annoyances everyday in my free time. This used to be my exact complaint with Windows 10 when it launched. Oh boy, how things changed. It's all in reverse now.

But issues with MIDI in the 2020s? 😱 I'm basically tied to Windows because of the stuff I do, & I'm fine with that. FL Studio, VST plugins, & most of the games I play basically require Windows. (I know FL is on Mac too but I don't want to use a Mac as my daily driver)

Not to mention that sometimes Linux simply loses the connection and won't be able to reconnect again UNTIL I stop the network services and delete the networks, adding the passwords again just like it's the 1st time I'm connecting. On Linux this happens once every 3 days or so. It's a major pain in the ass. So what we have on Linux is VISUAL proof (on all fronts) that BAD SOFTWARE can in fact handicap any hardware. Faulty software. Not the other way around.

I remember finding this music in the 2001 Dell Computer, but it was a present from Auntie, and it was sent in by 2003. I wonder if this is a remix, and I just do not remember those instruments being used, but thought different instruments were used, because it's been a long time. I also found a remix of the Passport music from the Gateway Computer, and it was done in Super Mario 64 style.
