    You should definitely adopt that husky immediately. If it's a boy, name him Lasko lol

    Dogs are wonderful - I was in Mex. leaving the condo and a little black street dog magically appeared from under a car and was DESPERATE and hungry - I was able to give her a can of tuna and took a walk, but on my return she was curled up in the doorway waiting for me. I took her in and had to take local buses back to the border on my return - but I kept her and she's been the most loving and adoring dog EVER - a joy to have her in our lives. She's at my feet now and Princess is always saving some doggy bones in her "bank".

      Thank you so much for doing that. When we arrived in Chapala we had our 2 cats we brought from Florida. When we moved back to Florida 1 1/2 years later we had our 2 cats and 2 street dogs we brought back with us. We love spoiling them and they are family members now.❤️❤️

    Yes to the husky! Christmas video: I would guess that most of us were tending more to our own personal celebrations (no matter how small / limited due to covid). Nothing personal, but probably low UA-cam views across-the-board. I still appreciated the Christmas post!

    I think some of us would like to watch Lori craft one of those great shirts of yours! ;)
    Also, are there craft stores there, or can you order items from Amazon? It would be interesting to hear from other expats that do crafts, if they are able to sell them and, if so, where?
    Happy New Year, you two.

    Jerry & Laurie, I enjoy your videos and since you asked, I'd like to see more interviews...ex-pats, tourists and local Mexican people. All would be interesting. I've also liked watching your home tours and hearing the prices of things, also grocery store and farmers market tours. You do a great job and all your topics have been interesting. Happy New Year, Nancy Oh

    Jr. Is correct about following Covid Protocols! You and Jim were wearing no mask and sitting inches apart. Please show a little respect by not endangering the health of those around you. I have lived in Chapala for 18 years, the virus is getting worse and we need people like you and Jim to set good examples for your UA-cam followers.

      Yes it was surprising to see you two feet away from each other with no masks on. That is very dangerous! I'm glad to hear that you understand that and hopefully will social distance and wear your masks when in public from now on - even outside!. I love your channel and enjoyed your Christmas video, sorry it didn't do well.

      As a resident of the area, I fully agree that someone like Jerry and Laurie and Jim should be setting good examples. The expat community (predominately retirement age) here is prime target for the virus, and when we are getting close to a vaccine and hopefully getting it under control it is not the time to get lax about smart safety measures. I'm glad that Jerry responded favorably to your comment.

    Mexico's metro area hospital beds are expected to be 50% beyond capacity in two weeks. UA-camrs must start leading with science and wear your masks while keeping your distance to others, even when outdoors. No dining with others outside your household. This is not policing this is science, in a Pandemic for health sakes. Respect health care workers and others by following Covid protocols at all times. Expats set an example!

    Happy New Year to you both. I like when you highlight other businesses services that would be of value to expats. You do an excellent job of introducing us to the nuts & bolts of expat necessities. It will be while before I can come back due to the pandemic, but when I am there, I love to take classes. How about teaming up with some cooking classes and artists? I’d like to what you can learn, how long a class or series of classes might be and what the approximate cost might be. I love the idea of the immersion Spanish experience. Restaurant reviews are also appreciated with perhaps and idea of what some of the menu items are. I learned how to make Aguascalientes Fresca from you tube videos. If any of the restaurants or food vendor might be willing to show you how their specialty is made, that might be fun. Also, consider setting up a way to make one-time payments. I love your videos & would like to contribute, but I don’t want to sign on to a monthly expense. Keep up the good work, & here’s to a happy & healthy 2021!

    I own a small law firm in Ajijic and we specialize in expat questions and requirements. Most of our service is free, I've retired here and and am spending the rest of my life giving back to the community and the people here. If you are new to the area or plan to move here, my team at SEVEN SPANISH ANGELS would be glad to help. We are located across the street from Lake Chapala Society, long known for its service to expats. Find us on Facebook. Buenos Dias.

    A good place to visit is the Bernabe artisan pottery store in Tonala. The history of their family & craft is amazing. I was introduced to them on a Charter Club tour and have since brought other Americans and our Mexican driver there. All were thrilled with the experience. Like many other artisans, they face being undercut by Chinese mass produced knock offs. Highlighting the local artisans is important to the continuation of their art.

    Sorry to hear about your Christmas video. I did watch it, but it wasn't within that three-hour UA-cam window. That sounds awfully restrictive in terms of a video's popularity. For the record I enjoyed the Christmas video, and recognize the work put into it.
    In terms of a suggestion, as a gay man thinking about retiring in Ajijic/Chapala an interview with a gay person or couple would be nice. I have visited Ajijic and spent a number of days there and I think I know "a little" about the gay community there. I'll grant you that this sort of video may likely appeal to a small demographic.

    How much is 500 pesos? Jerry

    • @deltadealer
      @deltadealer 3 роки тому

      Excuse me for butting in but to roughly figure out the Mexican exchange drop the last zero ($500 to $$50) then take half . So $500 pesos is about $25 depending on exchange rates that fluctuate daily. Hope this helps. Happy New Year!

    • @JerryBrownTravels
      @JerryBrownTravels  3 роки тому

      Yes 500 pesos is $25 that was a very generous gift so now with our match we will have $50 to give back to the poor Mexican families through our Patreon account. You're interested you can check it out here.
