So how do you like the thread tensioner system? I like the idea of being able to back up a wrap but see from teh video that the tension (via bend in the rod tip section) seems to vary?

@@davidaguiar1387 I dont know about the 4 spool. But with mine it does do it, and imo the bolt through the plastic is not center. Mine is a few years old so I got used to it and adjust tension. I think it is on an angle to keep the thread packed as much as possible while wrapping. But bolt could not be centered. Could be another reason altogether but this is a good question for mudhole

@@atmospheric_living Thanks for that info. I guess that could do it. Especially under pressure. I'm going to make my own wrapper and play around with tensioning designs to make it smoother.

I have one of these but the thread tension system is super herky jerky. Any idea on how to improve this?

I noticed that in the video ( as the rod tip thing bends at different rates) vs give steady tension. My suggestion would be to add additional nylon or polished SS fender washers on the thread spool shaft to act like drag washers. More is likely better.
