For those of you watching, just know that I'm probably proud of this video than I am of any other video I've made. Just because I'm really really trying to step up the quality of my content for you. I improved some things and I'm still trying to make things better! Added some vlogging, added better lighting, and added a better backdrop (which I plan to improve over time). So really proud of this and hope to make it better!
I'm in Vietnam as you know, I'm probably wearing the jeans you get rid of. I know what you mean, my wife and I both buy our clothes from second hand shops. I think the vlogging on your way in to Walmart was a great idea, definitely something different
There are actually EIGHT speakers on this thing - and you are right about how great they are. They are absolutely the best speakers I have EVER heard on a Tablet. Better than iPad Pros. Better than most Samsung Tablets. The display is actually very good too, making this one of the best pure MEDIA playing tablets to be found anywhere. It’s also on sale now - I bought mine on Black Friday for $189 but right now they are 219 which is still a terrific deal. Have not heard much about this so I was shocked at how good it is! Btw - EXCELLENT job on this video. Beautifully produced and edited. Great job!
If you compare it to previous stuff I'm definitely trying to step things up. Definitely one of the most unique tablets I've ever reviewed, with really good features
I have got this tablet for my mother. I thought it will just be a standard boring tablet, however, I was mind blown by the sound system. It's incredible and you don't realize how good it is from a UA-cam video. I would buy a product like this with higher specs if they would do it. And the build quality is nice. I don't know what to say about the updates, however, I recommend the tablet. The audio is stellar.
Thought about getting this one for Black Friday (down to this, Lenovo P11 pro gen 2 because of the OLED screen and A9+ 128gb). But then I found an amazing deal on a used Galaxy Tab S9 256gb (it's new because it still had the plastic on the screen, sides and Cable. Just the box was damaged) and i went with it instead and I'm glad I did. The screen (the oart imcare the most about) us incredible. Compared to the A8 it's like night and day. A8 looks washed out, lacking colors and clarity. I thought it was ok using itkmbut seeing them side by side (especially watching anime and football) i couldn't believe how much better S9 was. You just can't beat AMOLED, no matter how nice the LCD panel is.
I would choose the tab plus. Similar performance, but a better refresh rate. You have a kickstand which will keep it up for you, so you can easily draw on it. And the better refresh rate will give you a better experience overall. You just have to either find a case, or put the pen in your backpack instead of on the device.
I added an adcard on this unit. Is 1tb. The sd card was formated to exfat on my pc. When O place the sdcard on the tablet I can only transfer 150gb....it stops the transfering. I have no idea why.
I would recommend formatting the SD card on the tablet itself instead of your PC. It might resolve the transfer issue. Just be careful and back up anything you need to beforehand
Of the three the P12 is the best followed by the A9+, probably the only drawback of the Tab Plus is the Helio G99 which is about 5-10% slower than the SD 695 in the A9+
Yeah I feel a little bit differently than Charles. I would definitely say it's a tie between the p12 and the Lenovo tab plus. If you're talking about the base models, the tab plus has more ram, more storage, and it has a million times better speakers versus the A9 Plus. And the speed is only slightly slower. Even without Samsung dex, it seems they will give enough software updates, so it seems like a good option. The p12 has a bigger screen, and it does have some perks. But it does have a 60hz refresh rate, which is worse. And again, the Lenovo tab plus has far better speakers than both tablets. Honestly I'd get the tab Plus if you are good with a smaller screen versus the p12. I'd get the tab p12 if you want the biggest screen, and I would get the tab a9+ with 128 GB if you're finding it on a crazy good sale. I think sale prices could sway me either way depending on the device. But if they were all the same price, I would really honestly lean towards the tab Plus. Sorry my capitalization is a little off but I'm using voice texting. But I will say they are all extremely close. They are all pretty much identical in speed. So for me, you're going between tablet size, speakers, or Samsung dex. Assuming you get the 128 GB version of the tab a9 plus it's all going to be very close. At that point, the brand may be very important to you, especially if you like samsung. But they are all pretty close so don't stress too much. I would just look at the prices, find a good sale, and maybe lean towards the Lenovo tab plus if you really like good speakers
No fingerprint sensor or video output is probably the biggest bummer for me. That would prompt me to maybe look at a more expensive Lenovo tablet that's on the resale market even if you're trying to stay under this price point. I mean it's not the end of the world but I've never loved using face ID as my only option and I turn it off on most of my devices.
Yeah it depends on if you care about those things. If you're in the price range of the tab A9 plus, or the Lenovo m11, I think this is a very nice upgrade for those people. And at least it has one feature that really will blow people away, almost literally and figuratively. But it does get disqualified from some people's list because it doesn't have that fingerprint sensor. I think people who want that need to go at least up to the s9fe or that lineup. And not saying it would be good for them. Just saying that obviously those lower end tablets aren't going to do it
in my opinion there is no way this should cost more than the ipad 10. Most people in the market for a tablet want an iPad... add to that it's cheaper. That's kind of wild. Taking nothing away from your content because I appreciate staying informed and up to date. I'm just saying, Lenovo seems to be getting out of pocket with their pricing for something with very limited if any updates.
It's on sale and I've seen it as low as $200. The speakers are 50x better than the iPad. They are better than the $1,000 Tab S10. And it comes with a built in kickstand. Outside of a slower processor, it has a better screen, better refresh rate, better speakers. Not everyone needs the iPad power. And if you're willing to drop that compromise you get a device that is far different then any other tablet. It's very very unique. Personally I think it beats out every android tablet at this price now that I think about it. Better than the A9+ and S6 Lite and M11 for me
iPads have a 60 hz display, can't use browsers with extensions, so no ad blockers liken ublock origin or sponsor block. No proper file manager, no revanced or new pipe or any apps outside the app store at least in the United States. I just wouldn't be cross shopping and iPad with an Android tablet because I don't want the voice that won't let me use proper extensions and third party launchers and so on. iPad silicon is extremely impressive but it's the OS that throttles it.
Just bought yesterday. Went in for a Galaxy a11 and left with the tab plus. Love just about everything about it. Screen/picture is great. Materials feel quality. 90hz helps with smooth operation, and 8gb of ram makes for a good overall experience. Speakers are amazing for a tablet, especially in this price range. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of, there are virtually no cases/keyboards available for this device. Only cheap ones from sketchy no-name brands that most likely don’t work and take weeks to ship
And I was shocked after buying Lenovo Tab P12 on battery drain issue (two three days lying and battery is 0%), issues with stylus that fails to be recognized after it's detached for a bit and also about updates which I haven't seen for many months. Also used processor is not usable for some games eg. xcom which is not very demanding. Overall it's a dissapointment and won't buy tablet from this (or Xiaomi) producer again.
I'd love it, but that tablet is already super heavy. It would make it a monster 🤣. Personally I'd love it but I'm sure there's reasons. But they are probably trying unique things which I'm all for
You're better off buying a Samsung tab or iPad, you get a way longer support for your devices. I have a Lenovo and I've only gotten 1 year of update, since then nothing more, Lenovo doesn't support their tablets long-term.
This tablet they finally started promising more updates. Yes they are pretty slow about it, but it seems like they may finally be turning some things around with software.

I might get one for Xmas~
This would be a pretty good tablet to get!
Honor pad 9 is great cheaper then one of these aswell 😊 nice review though

Hi, between this model(Lenovo Tab Plus) and Samsung Tab S6 lite 2024, which tablet you choose for student purposes?(Both with pen)

@charlesbaxter7405 how many software updates from A9+?
@preston8872 3 OS and (supposedly) 7 years Security updates although I as they are trying to keep up with Google's policies
