Excellent design - I can think of two ways that you could insert a means by which the combination could be set by the user but only when the lock is open.

I live in Japan and enjoy a lot of crafting, but I don't have the tools to do such precision machining.....😭
I gotta say this build isn't practical, if someone knows the code they can unlock the lock and screw off the end cap making the lock useless..
