I like how he struggled to say those words yet manages to say it all out, symbolising how he is slowly managing to overpower his darkness 💪
Terra is really my fav of the wayfinder trio/duo. Because Ventus is a special case...
When I saw the Guardian revealed to be Terra, I legit shouted
“I FUCKING KNEW IT”
I think many of us did the same ever since KH dream drop distance where the guardian extended his hand to Riku

Can we talk about how horrified Sora was when he saw Vanitas’s face. Like starring directly into a mirror but in the worst way possible.
I think part of the reason for that is he saw a vision of Vanitas without his mask behind Young Xehanort at some point back in Dream Drop Distance. At the time, he had no idea who Vanitas was and probably thought it was a hallucination of what they were trying to turn him into. Which would make this reveal all the more terrifying for Sora.

I see how just like Riku, Terra did the same actions that he did to save the people he cared about. There are some bonds of friendships that can not be broken with hands of shadows. There are some friendships that are so strong you can’t help but envy

@@SpiderTrickster yes basically when a Keyblade wielder dies they have a choice
1. Reincarnation, they ”die” presumably go to the final world where they wait to be reborn
2. Sleep, where they choose to instead enter a seemingly eternal sleep by fusing with their Chairithy to become a dream eater.
So by that extension all the dream eaters from 3D are dead keyblade wielders.

The fact that Terra was the Guardian all this time and we never knew it really blew my mind when I played thia game. Nomura is a fucking genius
Actually it was already hinted in DDD when riku defeated Ansem and the guardian did the keyblade summoning gesture lol

@@stuntmanorigins9 There's also a point during the very same battle against him: If you get the part where you need to reach Terra to use Trinity Limit in an attempt to purge Xehanort from Terra's heart, while the Guardian tries to hit you to stop the attack; if you succeed, it joins both Aqua and Terra in that attack.
I love how Terra brought up Aqua lighting his way back to her just like they described with Mickey lighting Ven's path in her ending.
I like to think Ansem was taunting Terra in KH1 by referring to his shadow as Guardian (as he is a Guardian of Light)
I only wish Terra had said more to Sora directly. It's my only gripe with that scene. Otherwise I bawled like an idiot....I was so happy to see this reunion finally happen.
Yeah, if I were Terra, I would have thanked Sora. Ditto for Master Eraqus
Maybe even reference kh2 FM(I think) in like an npc dialogue after the cutscene

11:34 I was happy crying with him all the way here too. I knew I was gonna get emotional during the ending but this moment really took me by surprise. With Terra coming back and him being that guardian heartless the whole time. Hit me right in the feels.

I was pretty surprised when Sora shouted "Terra, NOW!", his voice sounds a bit deeper than he used to be.

The other heroes are fucked up after 1 fight and need rest, Sora just goes from boss fight to boss fight with no rest. Damn he's durable

That's...not Roxas. Roxas is two years old. Ventus here is from the age of fairytales. My dude, he is up there in the multi-millenia in terms of age. Older even than Xehanort. Who... well, watch a video about Union X. It's a trip.

I have to admit I'm a bit bummed Vanitas didn't become his own person like Roxas, Xion, and Namine did.
In a way he already is. According to the KHUX ending, he is one of the personified Darknesses and was shaped into Vanitus by Ventus so that he could be defeated. So, when he says that he is Darkness, he means it literally.
Well, it might sound a bit cruel but unlike Isa, Even, Demyx or Lauriam, Vanitas never showed any redeeming qualities or a backstory that shown suffuring or resilience to the actions he commited. Every horrible thing he did, he took great pleasure of doing, even sadisticly. And then there is Union X, showing he was a Darkness reshaped as a human by Ventus pure light to be vainquished before it spread chaos. Soo yeah, Vanitas was irredemable from the start.

The only canon stuff is what's shown in the games, what Nomura says is second tier (you should take it with a grain of salt because things could change anytime)

I always liked the dark guardian, now even more
My theory on how Ansem was the one to ingerit the Guardian instead of Xemnas was that he was worry that Terra may had tried to re-enter his body (which is Xemnas's body).
Why did Sora knew that this was Tera and exactly how to assist him? Usually he is dumb and slow on the uptake. It almost feels like we are missing some exposition that prepared Sora for this.
He knew Terra fell to darkness because he heard Aqua and Ven talking about that.
Other than that, he simply addressed his heart directly and since Terra-Xehanort had previously destroyed the Lingering Will, Terra had enough strength to stand up against him.

Aqua and Terra personally gave Riku the Keyblade and Sora Ventus' heart on top of Riku and Mickey running into Aqua later on in the Realm of Darkness. Ventus was in a fever dream of his own mind mixed with Sora's entire adventure since his heart was in Sora since Sora was a child, and all the way till Sora woke him in this game. And even if both didn't know him before, between the gummi phones, courtesy of Jiminy, and being back in the fold long enough to get told what's going on, they'd catch wind of the main man himself in the retelling with how significant he was from kh1 onwards.

If terra was inside that shadowy figure than why did it attack Sora in kingdom hearts 1 that’s what I don’t get did it confuse sora as an enemy like that lingering will boss encounter did
Probably has to do with how all the components that made up Terra was literally split up; his mind/soul became Lingering Will, the body became Terra-Xehanort (Xemnas as a Nobody), and the heart became the Guardian in an attempt to imprison it and give Xehanort control over him (with the Guardian's body being made of Terra's darkness). My theory is that when the Lingering Will eventually perished during their rematch, what happened is that the mind reconstituted together with Terra's heart, and now that both heart and mind were together again, the Guardian (AKA Terra's heart) now had an ego again and could put up a much more conscious resistance against Xehanort's influence.
@@Folutu interesting theory but if I recall in kingdom hearts 2 even lingering will didn’t think sora was a friendly instead of his enemy after all he bequeathed his keyblade to Riku explain that one

Lingering Will does recognize that Sora isn't an enemy after the fight though, while Guardian ends up being puppeteered by Ansem SoD against Sora and/or Riku multiple times after they first clashed. So I think the Will has a bit more of an Ego than the Guardian does and only when the Will perishes in his and Terra-Xehanort's rematch is when it properly gives the Terra's heart (in the Guardian) the needed amount of conscious will to successfully rebel against him.

Worst way to finish what could be the best kingdom hearts final chapter, that cuts scenes makes no sense, ventus, roxas and vanitas talking so peaceful when there is one more enemy to defeat.
There are cutscenes like that in other rpg’s like this where there’s still other villains to fight, but they make it seem like they’re stopping momentarily to give people time to have some kind of emotional conversation.

@Kaihedgie I was saying it is a lazy way to solve all the plot and making so many characters come back without putting any effort in make it emotive, just a bunch of bosses one after another and characters getting back in the most unoriginal way Nomura could imagine. fight, confesion, old character is back, fight, confesion, old character is back and repeat...
Aqua and Terra are the perfect couple, they have way better chemistry than Sora and Kairi. Lol
And right here I felt KH went WAY OFF TRACK
