Same here mate i was in a holiday inn hotel i was told by my council that if i refused to go to the hotel i would not be considered as homeless i explained as a care leaver that i wouldn't cope in that enviroment all i wanted was a gold plus banding to be able to bid on properties and that i was ok to remain on the street as all through covid lockdowns thats where i was i was able to control my surroundings which is very important to me with my mental health conditions they didn't care and inevitably what i said would happen happened i failed to cope and after being absent for 3 days they evicted me and told me they no longer have a duty to house me as i had intentionally made myself homeless.the councils all over the u.k are treating british homeless like dog crap and they dont care.anyway all the best to you and yours have a great christmas.✌

Same here mate i was in a holiday inn hotel i was told by my council that if i refused to go to the hotel i would not be considered as homeless i explained as a care leaver that i wouldn't cope in that enviroment all i wanted was a gold plus banding to be able to bid on properties and that i was ok to remain on the street as all through covid lockdowns thats where i was i was able to control my surroundings which is very important to me with my mental health conditions they didn't care and inevitably what i said would happen happened i failed to cope and after being absent for 3 days they evicted me and told me they no longer have a duty to house me as i had intentionally made myself homeless.the councils all over the u.k are treating british homeless like dog crap and they dont care.anyway all the best to you and yours have a great christmas.✌
Iv was homeless sofa surfing & council dont count that. Its not just homeless getn screwed as i had council property for14yrs worked to pay rent i waited 3yrs for living on parents floor & gave it up due to stress/abuse for yrs from asbo neighbours housing assoc did nothing about so moved to parents outer Gloucestershire. I'm 51 with MS from the stress so called glos council to aply for housing & got I'm not entitled to live in glos the place I was born/lived for 35yrs as have no family/work connections there & told wait yrs for housing so I said immigrants don't have job/family connection but get housing & after 3mnths & told no comment. Wtf they give brit born rules but not immigrants & im2nd gen immigrant my italian relatives in 50's lived on military base for yrs/no benefits & didnt burn them down but grateful of it. Also single brit men at bottom of que for social housing. I'm ready to protest outside council/mp's offices.

Our own British homeless get to stay in community centres for a few days over Christmas. These free loaders get to stay for as many years as it takes to decide if they can stay in the country. But I bet they will all be allowed to stay and given accommodation over our own British people that have been waiting years for a house or flat. The government should hold there head down in shame.
