Icee is my favourite dancer ever period. I really really like Alex also. I have to be real and say I thought Alex won round one. Round two icee went beast as I feel he felt he lost first round but then Alex went beast mode also. His energy did dip ever so slightly at the end but I gave it to him. So 2-0. The extra round honestly is was high high level and hard to pick but I gave it to Alex

It's because Hip Hop is a social dance, foundationally, Icee is correct to dance with his opponent. Modern day Hip Hop we hate that shi, but that's more because we prefer doing Hip Hop 'wrong'. We like having seperate rounds, and don't appreciate the social dance element as much anymore

i don't agree with the judges here, but I can see why this would be in icee's favor considering in all three rounds you saw the true icee. You didn't see the true Alex till the third round, because basically he was trying hard to win. The last round is not a separate round, it is just like having three rounds. if you have 3 rounds and your dance style changes dramatically then you might be at risk... I don't know what David looks for in a battle, but I know Fabrice looks for a more fast paced flow. Icee brings that. Alex has this refined flow that knows what beats are important to him, then he only looks for those. As a judge I can see myself picking Alex still, but I wouldn't be surprised if I saw someone pick Icee.
Michael C In the first round, I felt like Alex was doing something a little different, like he hit the notes a little more heavily. I liked it. What I usually do is watch the battle again like a week, and if I still feel like the loser should've won, I take it as judges having disagreeable opinions. If I come back, and all the excitement clears and I see specific things that the winner did that is ridiculous, yet subtle, I start looking for those things when I watch a performance. My personal favorite is rochka though, so sometimes I can see why the judges vote against him, since he can be very dry in a battle.
I thought having an extra round for all battles meant only the last round counts lol, but yeah considering Fabrice was one of the judges not too surprised about the result. Still do think Alex did so much in the last round, impressive to say the least
