Spring Fed Timber Framed Greenhouse Part 4 : Peg Making

  • Опубліковано 17 вер 2020
  • I needed about 100 pegs for the greenhouse and i didn't fancy doing it all the hard way. I remember seeing one of these tools for sale a long time ago and i kept meaning to get one but never did. So after a few years of making pegs the hard way i finaly got around to making myself a nice peg making setup. Enjoy.

The mosaic of colors the pegs made all collated in the bucket is the kind of result that only come about when a persistent hand meets natural materials. Thank you for interrupting your work flow to fuss around with cameras so we can ride along. Cheers from Kentucky, USA!

Videos like this one are the essence of this channel to me. It's all about problem solving, with ecology, cost and quality in mind, without ever forgetting the aesthetics, of course. Greenhouse is going to look fantastic with all the hardwood joinery exposed. I sincerely hope this channel makes it to a million subs in the near future, more people need to see this.

Thanks for another great video. Who would want to sit shuffling paper in an office when you could be outdoors doing something constructive and fulfilling.
I could be wrong, but the wood looks rather like Jarrah ('Western Australian Mahogany') - a beautiful wood. Early settlers in WA initially had little produce to send back to Britain and since they had to clear their land large baulks of Jarrah were sent back as ballast in the transport ships. It was used for sleepers on the London underground lines being built as well as being turned into wooden block cobbles for London's streets.
If you find a nice piece do save it and make something 'ornamental' from it :-)

Your parents I'm sure are extremely Proud of You Kris! The World would be a better place with Lots of You in it! We now live in such a Mass Produced World, everyone has lost sight of God's Given Resources and TIME to Handcraft..... I am Capricorn with Determination and Will born in me 63 years ago, I never say I CAN'T..... You seem a lot like a Capricorn or Earth Born Person, please let us know your birthdate..... You are such an inspiration to all, I Pray young children can watch you work and grow to be a Do'er and can learn from you.....Schools should take field trips to show the Children what their two hands can do when they grow older, let the children see with their own eyes what is possible to do with a Goal and a Vision! You are a Master at what you set out to do all done with Determination, Masters are simply People who have made all the mistakes along the way, a learning experience.....You and Dear Dot are made for each other, she has the will and determination in her too, Praise Her and Hold on to her tight..... I Do Believe that Spring placed in Your Greenhouse was a True Blessing From God, not a coincidence.....I never watch television, I walk to the river and collect beautiful rocks and beach glass and bring them home and every evening I craft wire wrapping them and I have your videos playing in the background ,lol, I could probably repeat each one word for word, I choose to listen to wisdom, Thank you for Giving us Your Time and Talents.....
