Hey Tammi! I like them both. I can see where you get the "sad" feeling from the colors and I get it. Grunge isn't my fabric of choice but that's just me. ❤What you did do is remind me that there are so many different looks you can get from just a square and triangle blocks. The possibilities are endless. 🥰 I really enjoy your blocks you choose each week. Take care and have a Great Weekend! 🥰

Hey Tammy my friend 🥰. Yeah, I’m graduating from the grunge look, I’m over it 😂. I’m going to invest in some Bella & Kona Solids so that I can mix them with layer cakes😊. Have a wonderful weekend as well my friend 😘👋🏽

Ohhhh sad...I like the muted colors. They're giving me foggy morning on a lake, sitting on the dock with a nice cup of coffee, snuggled up in a quilt with a good book!!
I like them both, but the one on the right with the grey center square is my favorite!

Hi🥰. I’m loving the vibe you described! Especially since today is Summer Solstice and I am not looking forward to the upcoming heat😂. You’re the best. I appreciate you. See you in the next video my friend 😊👋🏽

@TammisStitches it's been over 100° everyday since May 27th and the lowest low since has been 76° on the 27th...other than the first few days in June, the lows have been in the 80's with the highest low being 87°!!!! It'll continue to get worse for weeks on end and we won't see 70's again until November 😭

I’m in the San Fernando Valley, a suburb of Los Angeles, CA it gets 100+ until October. We’ll just stay inside and quilt all summer 😂🥰

Hey Suzanne 😊! Yay! Now all we have to do is make enough for a sampler quilt 😉 Perhaps we can make sample quilts together and share them with each other!🥰

I think this block is cute. I might try it using the same color for the center as the zag so it flows.

Yay! I’m glad this block inspired you 😊. It’s a fun block. Make sure you pay attention to which way you turn you units or else you zig might zag😂😂. Stay tuned for more translation videos. I’ll see you in the next one 😊👋🏽

I’m not a grunge person either. I like the blue center block a bit better because the corners highlight the zig zag. I prefer Bella to Kona because it feels softer to the hand and doesn’t fray as much as Kona to me. I always enjoy your videos have a great weekend😊

Hey Carol😊. Thank you so much for your continued support. Thanks for the Bella tip! I wonder if starching would help with the fraying 🤔. Either way, I’m excited to be purchasing both in the near future. Now that I think about it… I’ll do a comparison video of them both once I starch them. Thanks for the inspiration😊. I appreciate you being here. I’ll see you in the next video😊👋🏽

Hello. I think i favor the blue center as it makes the zig zag more coherent.

Hi Sara😊. Thanks for sharing. You know… I didn’t see it that way but now that you’ve pointed it out, I totally see it! Isn’t it exciting to see all the ways color placement can change the vibe of a block😊. I appreciate you being here and will see you in the next video 😊👋🏽

I like them both. The gray center square wins, though😊 do a cream center with blue and gray as the zia zag pieces😊

Great blocks. You could make a pattern using the same block as a repeat across, making a dark zigzag on row one, then the lighter block on row 2 ?

Hi😊. Yes, that’s a great idea! There are so many options just by changing the orientation of the fabric. Thank you so much for sharing your idea 😊. I appreciate you and will see you in the next video 😊👋🏽

Thanks. I need to spend more time with my 6" block acuquilt dies. Personally, I never liked grunge. I like both of your blocks. They are not depressing.

Hi Suzanna😊. My pleasure & thanks so much for commenting! We all need a little motivation & inspiration to use our AccuQuilt dies we currently own. Yeah, I’m getting closer to removing the Grunge from my collection & purchasing Bella & Kona solids to mix with my precuts. I’d love it if you’d join me for more Block Translation videos! I’ll see you in the next video 😊👋🏽
