  • Many people continue to hold a grudge even after thinking they've forgiven someone because total forgiveness means way more than just saying words. RT Kendall shows how total forgiveness is demonstrated in the Bible, and what totally forgiving someone does for you as well as them!__________

Yes, this teaching did change my life RT. I am a christian and thought I had forgiven a certain person already... until some ugly feelings crept up... and out of my mouth! I came across this teaching later that same night, and it totally addressed everything I was feeling. Suffice it to say, I found myself crying in the bathroom at work repeating the prayer and was totally delivered. It's been three days, and every day the Lord gives me more understanding about forgiveness and how to make this a lifestyle. Praise the Lord! I'm so done walking through that desert.

I am facing the same thing. I am tired of feeling like this and I want all that God has for me. If the situation was turned, I would want forgiveness and not always feel shame.

Thank you so much for sharing. I have been looking for a way to flesh out how to deal with this pain and hurt. And after listening to your points on how to know I have totally forgiven i have to admit that I love the person more than i felt hurt. Thank you. Thank you so much. God bless you.

He's talking about Fratele Iosif Ton. He accepts the work of the Holy Spirit. I'm Romanian and I've heard him preach often even at our church. Ce lume mica!!

Didn't Joseph hid something in his youngest brothers belongings and hold him for stealing to put fear in the older brothers? Point being Joseph still had to work through his pain. I agree with and appreciate this message personally, RT. Thank you!

I always believe the Bible so I balance it with scripture. Paul wrote: "Alexander the Coppersmith did me much evil." John wrote "Diotrephes loveth to have the preeminence." And didn't Jesus tell John it was Judas who had dipped the bread in the bowl nd who would betray him...even before Judas had even gone out into the night? And aren't we told by Jesus that if we have a disagreement with a brother, we should bring it before him, then before the church? I suspect perhaps Paul and John were warning the church. It seems to me that we don't know if Joseph never told anyone. All we know is that he didn't want the gentiles to see him reuniting with and introducing himself to his brethren. I agree about not having self-righteousness and not rubbing their noses in it. Wasn't it the dark dark secret of ten brothers? Not eleven? Am not sure either about skeletons in closets. Not something I would do, but the Bible often speaks of shame and in the Bible shame seems to be equated not with internal emotions but with the world seeing one's shame. I'm not being pain but I do worry about generalizations and exegesis that sound a bit wobbly. Can it be that the Joseph story is more about forgiveness within a family where reconciliation is necessary? Speaking about the sins of another might depend on if the wounded person is inside the church, inside the family, etc? Again, just asking because I like precision and I trust my Bible more than other folks' interpretation of it. Bad exegesis has wounded and even killed many a good person who listened to their pastor.

Dear Carole McDonnell, I think it's important to remember that Matt. 18 First tells us to meet alone with the brother or sister and if the matter is not resolved, then it can be established before two or three witnesses.
I agree, Dr RT could of given a few more examples that would qualify a healthy time to share about a wrong committed by another but it's a 30 minute show and his expository-narrative will continue to bring life to a lot of people!
Reconciliation may not always be considered necessary by the world but it is the ministry Christ has given us and we will be known by our love for one another :) bless you!!

But what about what Jesus did with the Pharisees. He didn’t save face….. I think some of what you’re saying is not forgiveness but excusing what they did which I don’t think is right …please feel free to add your input I’d love to hear it to whoever is reading this
