You can use projected textures for the front and rear
Simply make a face on the green/blue axis plane, then import front/rear texture. Next, make texture projected and align to car. Use eyedropper tool to apply texture to car.
Not only will the car be more accurate to the actual model, it will also be quicker and easier.
Absolutely--but only under the right conditions! Thinking back to when I made this model six years ago (wow) I believe I was having issues getting the two photos to align, so I added those front faces manually. In my case, when the source image isn't a true orthographic perspective, it's a guaranteed issue.
This one can make a quick modeling.. Although not very detailed model.. I think it's good for starting a car modeling.. Thanks brother..

OMG, I can't believe there are people that didn't like this! I just sat, mesmerised, trying to grasp some of the basics! Maybe I'm too easy to please, should I be complaining that the doors don't open? :-)

It's ok! Sketchup takes a bit of practice. Anyway, this is an intermediate tutorial, so it's ok if you don't know how to do this stuff yet

After importing the photo, drawing around the car and using the push / pull tool, I can not get the texture to reappear. Even by clicking on the "paint bucket" icon and then on the side. Someone help me please! On the front the same thing happens ...
I got it! It was because the tray with the materials was not appearing from the side. The side of the car that have only face could do, but in front that are several faces I could not put the texture aligned with the first;
Hello! can u make one for me? i want a specific car, 2017 Kia Sorento! but before anything, does this work for car mods? like in GTA SA for example?
(This is my secondary account) Techically it would be possible to use on GTA, but someone would have to convert the mesh and most likely replace it from that of an existing gta vehicle. If you can find someone who knows how to do that, I can definitely make a model for you.

Depois de importar a foto, desenhar ao redor do carro e usar a ferramenta push/pull, não consigo fazer a textura voltar a aparecer. Mesmo clicando no ícone "paint bucket" e depois na lateral. Alguém me ajuda por favor! Na parte da frente acontece a mesma coisa...
Consegui! Era porque a bandeja com os materiais não estava aparecendo do lado. O lado do carro que é uma face só consegui fazer, mas na frente que são várias faces não consegui colocar a textura alinhada com a primeira ;(
It is a difficult process. Good thing about this is, It is low poly. Bad thing about it that it will not be acceptable by client/platforms due to weird faces/surface/mesh. Shape accuracy can not be achieved and UV Mapping will be trickier.

How did you resize the photo to match it on the figure?
When you add a texture to a non-rounded face, you can right mouse click the face, hover over the button that says "texture", and then there should be a button that says "position."
