first tour of Angels & Airwaves was pure magic
nobody had a clue what they were gonna experience and it was still a shot in the dark
My first concert was this tour… jaw was open entire show
I'll never forget when I accidentally saw them in 2006/7 Era. I was stoked. Was a lovely gift for the day.

Oh jeez, tom has been known always to sound better on recording. He’s sung better in shows going up to now! He sounds good here too. But not his best, that came later, mind you when blink reunited back in 09 I hated how for a while he sang blink in his Ava voice!

I personally didn't record this, although I was there. It was a dude from my university who filmed and he shared it with me at the time. I believe his intention was always to post it online but he kind of just disappeared one day and I never saw it posted anywhere after that. Figured it was such an important moment in the bands history that I should share it.
This takes me back to one of my favorite years of my life.

Distraction is a great song
So strange seeing Sinn instead of Wachter. This is the only AVA tour I haven’t been a part of in person. I’ve been to every one since the I-empire tour.
Sinn is a better bassist then watcher but watcher is a better member of the band. So it worked. Kinda like how atom is a better drummer but Ilan is a better instrumentalist. Though I feel atom is a better drummer for AVA. The best version of AVA would be Tom,David,Ryan Sinn on bass,Atom on drums,Matt watcher taking care of keyboard things, and Ilan taking care of other keyboard things and miscellaneous instruments and having him join in as a second drummer sometimes.
Totally agree with you with Atom. I know Ilan is a great dude and is now in the rock n roll hall of fame with his work with Trent Reznor. Ilan is a musical prodigy……yet Atom Willard imo is the better drummer for AVA and always will be. They had to bolt the drums to the ground for him. Enough said lmao.

I would love to see them both play guitar on it. Have Tom do the main riff part and have David come in during the chorus and do the lead guitar line. It makes sense and would be perfect because that's the two members of Box car racer that are in Angels and Airwaves.
