Really well explained, thank you! My doctor thinks I have this, so I'm currently waiting to undergo a test of some sort. On paper, I'm incredibly healthy as all my bloods are great. It's so frustrating to be eating, sleeping, and exercising well yet still feel utterly exhausted and just generally terrible all the time. Urgh!
Thank you for this! I was just diagnosed and I couldn't find anything online other than gastric bypass surgery reversal. I've never had a gastric surgery before!
For someone so young, you have done a great job. I have a medical background and you were spot on. Well done. Can’t change the name of dumping syndrome to rapid gastric emptying love as there are many causes of dumping syndrome .. not just rapid gastric emptying.. hope this helps… ❤ …
Thank you for this! Its so important to know that there are people suffering with dumping syndrome who haven't had any prior gastric surgeries. I have both dumping and gastroparesis, and i have some general tips and tricks on my channel about how to help manage gi symptoms in a more natural way. I so appreciate that not many people talk about this as its very invasive and quite tmi but its so important people don't feel alone in this, as when its idiopathic, not a lot can really be done.
I didn't know it was possible to have both. How does that work, does it alternate? Do you have gastroperises for a few days/weeks and then get dumping syndrome for a few days/weeks? Or can you have both through out a single day?
Thank you for this, very informative, I've had problems on and off for almost 15 years seen by multiple doctors and no one could explain it. Hope I get it figured out.
I just got diagnosed with Dumping Syndrome this morning, and have never had a GI surgery or any at all. I’ve been dealing with it for about a year now and kept going to doctors and just now got the diagnoses. This and post adrenal issues. I’ve been feeling absolutely awful I literally thought I was dying from these symptoms. I have severe constipation issues I tend to not release anything besides 1-3 times a month if I’m lucky. Thank you for sharing your experience and this information!
Hey I just got diagnosed with this and I’m 19 so around your age! Thank you for making this it’s so nice to know there are others going through this !! Did yours ever go away? Also woah do you live in seattle area cause i do too!!
Omg, I think I definitely have this. It's the LOW blood sugar, I just found out I'm experiencing during these dumping symptoms. Thank you Taylor, for you informative video! Thought I was dying, but I'm probably going to be ok! 😅
I have this and I can’t have cake, cupcakes, or donuts and I thought it was a fluke thing but I’ve had it for 1 1/2 years 😅 I had marshmallows last night and woke up nauseous and a huge cramp 😭 THANK U FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!
Thank you so much for this!! I think I got it when I was diagnosed with gallstones. After my last attack a year later I started having dumping syndrome. I just looked it up to know the name last week.
Ugh, I may have this. Have a gastric test soon... and was referred out to having hEDS tested. I was referred to a genetecist for that but also have heard they don't diagnose hEDS so I am confused which practioner to go to??? But we shall see. If anyone has tips or advice I am all ears. And thank you for making this video!!
I don't know, but couldn't you get this from an H. Pylori infection or having Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome? If I eat the wrong thing I could literally poop it out 2 hours later. Also within 2 hours after waking up my body empties everything in my GI tract regardless of when it was eaten. After having H. Pylori it has drastically changed my digestion in a negative way. Everytime the doctor sends me in for an endoscopy or a radio-active bile test I would poop out everything I ate afterwards almost immediately. I don't ever want to do these tests anymore.
Hi. I was just diagnosed with this after suffering for about 4 years with episodic incidents. When I am having a flare up, it is just as you described above. I can be down for 3 weeks or more, and as others have mentioned, I truly thought I was dying. I understand that you don't want anymore tests because I did them all too - I thought. It wasn't until I had the radioactive egg gastric emptying scan that I learned my issue. I highly recommend this! Now that I know, I do believe i can manage it with diet, such as Taylor described.
Hi. I just got diagnosed with this by the gastric emptying scan. I have been extremely sick on and off for 4 or 5 years and they could not figure out why. There is no cure for this but as Taylor said, some people just get better after time. Mine is episodic, but now that I know what is wrong, I believe I will be able to manage it with the proper diet.

Thanks for this! It’s hard to find a talk that’s not surgery related!
This was a really good video. There is a lot of bad or hard to understand info out there and you explained it wonderfully! Thank you!
You are great. Thanks for the video. You explain well. Do you suggest any over the counter meds that would help ??
Thank you

I just got diagnosed! Didn’t have any bypass surgery either.
Have these symptoms since I was 5 and now 35 I came across this. An answer to something I never knew existed.

My 10yo son has early dump syndrome. :(
He also has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
I feel better about having IBS now, knowing that it could be so, so much worse
