    Nice to see a basic "what you need is what you take pack" to many people carry the house on their back and cant even charge their phone or change their socks lol. Nice one man! similar to my kit each to their own I always say to people "your kit is your kit you carry it and each to their own!"

    I carry a bunch of the same items, always best to be prepared. I carry a jet boil for making coffee. If I’m planning on staying out all day I’ll pack some food and coffee. I will carry my hammock with me if I plan to stay overnight in a good location. Thanks for posting up your video. Great stuff.

    What a pleasant surprise to find this on a Monday night. Very informative! But at the risk of sounding...dense, @5:27 you pulled out a plastic bag of some flattened "paper", some dark and some white, that you shouldn't need to tell us why. Apparently I need to ask why. In my EDC I carry a pocket notebook and a small flattened roll of TP but it doesn't look anything like your "papers". For the less adroit of us, (that would be me), could you please tell us why?

    • @Stealthdiggers
      @Stealthdiggers  7 років тому

      Hey Bill, Its for clumping......remember the Keebler situation where he had no paper?
      The reason you see different colors is because i put heavy napkins in the bag because they hold up much better than TP.
      Some napkins actually have almost a wax coating on them and don't get all shredded up while being in the pack all year,.
      Because TP is so thin it just dissolves .

    • @spectrumbill6775
      @spectrumbill6775 7 років тому

      Thanks Charlie for saying what needed to be said. It just didn't look like the segmented roll of 'clumping paper' that I am familiar with

    great video Charlie...your type of detecting is different from mine...when I am detecting it's urban so work lights and fire starting are not a critical must have. I always carry a first aid kit, flashlight, batteries - I like to keep two full sets of what I use on hand all the time...detector uses 4 AAs - I carry 8 spares, pin pointer uses one 9 volt - I carry two spares...you never know when a buddy needs some batteries, at least one pair of socks always...I also carry my different size coils, back up hand digger, back up pouches, gloves, plastic trash bags - those saved my car seat when I slipped on hill and I was caked with mud from my boots to my shoulder, needless to say I also carry a pocket knife [everyday - digging or not], mini multi tool on my keys and a fixed blade in the bag....I used to carry a lot more cold weather gear but have since lightened the load when I move to the south. I'd love to see what the other diggers have in their gear bags...;)

    You guys should do a automotive EDC video as much as back country driving as you guys do. I got stranded in Pigeon Forge, TN years ago over an alternator. If i had the tools myself, I coulda changed it out in a hour at most. But, no , I didn't have nothing with me and had to pay a tow bill + parts and labor in tourist trap, USA. Great information Charlie. I love that bag. I haven't looked but how much does this back pack cost. I've got to have one. Also about how much do you say you have invested in your pack or what do you think it would cost to stock your back pack? Charlie I could talk to you all night long. I have so many questions I would like to ask you. Maybe if I'm ever up your way I could meet you guy and pick your brains. I know I asked you not to long ago but how is Keebs doing? Is he going to be down for long? One last question, how can I get a Stealth diggers sticker? I know that I've asked alot of questions but the thing is I could ask a whole lot more. Thanks Charlie and let's do lunch. Take care and HH. Jim

    My kids call my EDC bag my man purse... LOL.. I have stuff in there that I hope and pray that I'll never have to use it. Like all my first aid stuff and a few multitask type tools... At my age I make sure I got my back up meds in there just in case I'm not at home when it's time for my meds... plus back up ammo and then the basics head lamps strong lights and so on... But I did notice in my sons truck the other day he had a EDC bag and I just laughed to myself... LOL,LOL... But every time one of the kids come to take me to the doctor or to a meeting they ask where my purse is... LOL,LOL... Be blessed.. BBE..

    Dip your waterproofed match ends in wax.
    If lost or injured the 1st thing is to light up so you relax & can think out a plan.

    I love my rush 12 but wish it would stand up straight when sat down. My 24, and Moab 10 sit up straight and the 12 leans forward and falls over no matter how it’s packed. Bugs the crap out of me.

    • @Stealthdiggers
      @Stealthdiggers  6 років тому +1

      Yes ! exactly Matt , I have always hated that.
      Since this video about 3 week ago I came across the 5.11 All Hazzards Nitro back pack. Let me tell you this thing is far better than any other pack I have owned. And one thing is it stands up perfectly straight and level when you put it down. It is set up in such away inside that everything is spread out evenly.
      I also have to say everything about it seems so refined compared to all the other 5.11 bags, its like they fixed all he title details and made the Nitro.

    That is one AWESOME pack Charlie. Great video. It looks like you are about ready for anything. Way to go. Did I hear you say you use your phone to record? If so, Do you do all of your video editing on it too? I know I use my phone for everything. Recording, editing,uploading, LIVE STREAMING, watching UA-cam videos away from home.

      There are days when thing are added because of the activity so really they are not EDC.

    What is the name of your storage box for coins, is it just a tackle box or do you have a link?
    Scott

      HI Scott, the larger white container is just a simple tackle box made by Plano. They come in all kinds of sizes.www.amazon.com/dp/B06XD143YN/?ref=exp_stealthdiggers_lv_dp_vv_d
