    Carlo is an italian name. Carlino is a nickname used in italy for babies with name Carlo, it means “little Carlo” like Giovanni-Giovannino. she told that Carlino isn’t a good name cause it’s only for babies, but when the baby will be older they must call him Carlo, not Carlino.

      Yes. Carlo is the name ana Carlino is the childhood nickname. Similarly in Spanish it's Carlos and Carlitos

      She didn't like it though, she's trying to understand what the name is. "Colin" doesn't exist in Italian in any form, so she's trying to interpret it by sound: "Do you mean Carlo, and you are calling "Carlino" because Is a toddler? " That's basically what she's saying.

      It's not the same language but they're romantic languages (Latin) so there's lots of similarities. Romanian is a romantic language but might as well be chinese, it's that different
