- Grays Peak is located in Colorado and is one of the 14ers. Many people do Grays Peak and Torreys Peak together. Some people have named this as the easiest 14er in Colorado. Watch as I tackle Grays Peak!

Did Antero at 60 yrs old, Princeton at 65, came from sea level. Grays sounds like a good one for my 70th birthday.
That is a great goal! 👍
The views that you are able to capture are so incredible, wow wow😍
Beautiful! I used to do winter mountaineering with a friend, and after a long weekend cross country skiing around Frisco and Breckenridge, we stopped at Loveland Pass on our way back to Denver for a hike along the Continental Divide. We started to climb out of the pass and had to turn around because the wind picked up. 90 mph wind at -15 degrees is not fun at 12,000 feet in January. We literally crawled at times to keep from being blown off the mountain. LOL! So, you asked in the video about 14k adventures. That's the closest I ever got to 14k, so I admire you!
Such a cool track! Can't wait for your next one Laura! 😃 aww nothing cuter than a happy dog! xo Ana
So beautiful out there! Thanks for sharing
My first 14-er was Grays! We hiked it for my 30th birthday 3 years ago, and now we are going to do Elbert for my birthday this year.
Billy the Billy goat enjoying the views all day long
Wow 😮 super nice view, great achievement, I will probably bring with me at least a dozen lunchables 🤩
I think lunchables should sponsor her for the mention, don't you?
Beautiful place, hi from Colorado!
Very beautiful view up from the mountain! Nothing is easier in hiking...) 14K feet elevation is not a joke..) 👍👍👍
How long did it take to top??
Is it busy enough there to keep the bear and mountain lions away. I want to do grays peak bad this summer but I'm scared ill run into a bear or mountain lion.
I'm sure it happens but it was very busy! I still recommend always carrying bear spray on your belt but I had not heard of any (and of course had my dog with me)
How loose are the rocks when you near the summit? I wanna do a 14er on my trip to Colorado in August but I'm concerned about loose rocks on on descend!
Not too bad at all. I would bring hiking sticks but there were two ways to get up and down and one isn't as steep
Thanks!
How many miles up?
What day of the week was this?
I believe a Thursday. I don't think the weekend
👍
How long did it take you?
About 4 hours up and 2.5 down. Everyone is different though! ☺️
@@LauraLeanne wow that seems really fast for a 14er! Never done one though
@@TheWizomaniac everyone is different for sure! I had been acclimated in the area so had an easier time with this one. The first couple of miles is also relatively flat. I hope that helps!
Is Thor on Instagram? What did he say about the goats on the trail?
Ha! Thor doesn't have his own but he's alllllways in mine which is attached in the description of the video. He LOVES the 14ers so he would give it a 10/10. Also, I pick him up around the goats because I'm scared he will want to play with him and he doesn't have that kind of balance on ridges!!
@@LauraLeanne I won't say he looks like a "Thor" but I love the combo! He could totally rock the Dogs of Insta! Good call on the pickup Sometimes goats don't play fair either!
I'd like more information on how the dog actually did
My dog hikes all the time with me
He did wonderful. It's all about understanding your dog and what they are used to
Democrat and Pike from the Crag
I did Mt. Elbert.
I've found this one easier than Elbert but not by much!
@@LauraLeanne Thanks I may have to try this one. I tried Mt. Massive but didn't make it.
@@chuckhines459 Chuck, curious why you didn't summit Massive, but you summited Elbert? I have done Elbert and I am planning to do Massive this summer. Was Massive a lot harder? Thanks.
