Kudos to Edwin French for the song title!
As always, I do not own the rights to this song. I am simply a fan who enjoys sharing my live concert experiences with others on UA-cam. If you own the rights and wish for me to take the video down, I would be happy to oblige. To all others - Enjoy!
Amazing sound, can't imagine how well its gonna sound in 10 years. Definitely sounding better than MGK
Who? Lol
Why are y’all so obsessed w MGK bro 😂
@@6ixsidejoey661 fr lmao
Isn't MGK the guy that love to pick fights with really big artists and thus always backfires 🤣🤣
@@6ixsidejoey661 because he made fun of slipknot and I have no idea why this dude compared a metal band to Mgk when he's pop punk. Lol
this literally gave me chills. being a dad....imagine your son following so closely in your footsteps and having this type of talent
I thought the exact same thing bro I bet you he's right off stage watching him so proud!!
He sounds like his father at that age. I loved Corey's sound when he first came up. He needs to create his own image to solidify his stance in this world.
He inherited his dad's gift but he needs to make it his own.
Much to see from this band.
Holy shit, his voice. Who cares if it sounds too similar to Corey’s. He has all the right to sing like his dad.
The flashbacks of adolescence listening IOWA are back
Mannnn to a T
Imagine giving these guys shit because they want to follow the footsteps of their fathers. These guys could go far, lots of potential 🤟🏽
RIght? I followed in my Father's Footsteps and he followed in his, Nothing wrong with family pride...There is a lot of shitty families out there...
People saying it's a wannabe slipknot or he sounds too much like Corey... He's Corey's son, trained by Corey, raised on slipknot. Ofc he's gonna sound like Corey and of course the band is going to have that sound. No music is truly original anymore, Zeppelin was heavily inspired by multiple blues musicians so much so to literally cover a song and it become one of their most famous songs.
All in all these guys sound like slipknot did when they first started over 20 years ago, it'll get better and any true knot fan sees what this band really could become.
Sounds just the same live as the recording. Was interesred to see if this was the case since it sounds like a painful scream. Man has talent like his dad if that's pure technique
PURE TECHNIQUE👌🏼
Did they have the instruments turned down like they do here and griffins mic turned up to damn near drown out the real talent in his band?
@@captinundies6049 Do you have a life is the other question.
@@captinundies6049 you’re ignore to say that Griffin has no talent. Do you know anything about vocals or do you just have opinions on stuff you should not be criticizing?
Griffin looks like if he was painting a house and didn’t realize he had to play Knotfest.
Everyone’s like “ehhh they sound too much like slipknot” while I’m over here thinking they sound like mudvayne
he sounds like Slipknot because of his voice and style
@@clipsedrag13 yes corey is his dad thats why he's voice sounds the same
I can see that I also think they sounds like machine head I’ve already said that so sorry if someone keeps seeing me say this lol
Dude I was just thinking the same, big mudvayne vibes
@@clipsedrag13 wow it's almost like he's related to Corey
To all the ppl trash-talking here, I'm sorry your dads aren't in Slipknot. Get over it.
Underrated comment 😂
Who cares if his daddy helped get them out of the garage, if he even did.. they are right where they need to be 🤘🏼hell yeah
Okay but their tiny banner in the back is great
It adds character lol
It’s crazy when I first heard this, it sounded so much like Corey… the kid is gonna go far.
Corey must be so proud they killed it cant wait to see what his screams and singing turns into as he gets older
Guy on the bass giving out mick Thompson vibes
He’s not the next Corey Taylor. He’s the first Griffen Taylor. As a father I’d have tears in my eyes to see my son doing this fucking awesome man. He didn’t get lucky. His cards just fell right and his dad is a legend who was able to literally pass his craft to his clone.
Hats off fellas way to come in strong keep it up. I’d pay for a ticket.
This shit was sick
Bullshit. They got to this point purely because of who their parents are. They didn't put out a single piece of music for anyone to hear but "somehow" Loudwire and tons of other music news outlets got wind of "Sons of clown and Corey Taylor have own band" and immediately sold out their very first concert. Cards didn't fall into place, they didn't work for anything they have, their daddy's names just got them their "following". They act like they've cut their teeth and grinded through the music scene in Des Moines. Complete crock of shit.
@@ThedevilofDSM you can’t help who your parents are 🤷♂️ I do see your point but being bitter about it just makes it sound like you’re pissed that you didn’t have a head start because of daddy’s name.
Imagine how demoralizing it must be to read all these comments discrediting your music just because two members of your band are related to Slipknot. Unbelievable, people. Imagine how shitty that would make you feel if you started a band and got a bunch of comments like that.
Luckily I believe it won't always be that way, because they are genuinely a talented group of guys. I've been following Vended for a few months now without thinking about who's dad is from what band, and I've been fucking loving it. I saw them live last week and they're SICK. They're a legitimately good band with insane potential.
Not I'm justifying the demoralizing behavior by people but Griffin could just ignore it. As long as you're a band in the public eye, you're gonna have haters.
If you play publicly you are and should be open to opinions. Imagine being in a new band and never being able to grow from criticism because your convinced all negative comments are just haters brought on from having a famous father. I had no clue of the relationship the first three or four times this group popped up on my feed . I thought it was garbage solely based on what I was hearing. Once I went to the comment section and became aware of their parentage the only thing that changed for me was that it suddenly made sense why such an inexperienced band was getting so much exposure.
Their sound is like the slipkot during the early days.. 🤷♂️
Because that's Corey's son singing and clowns son in it too
@@hampter359 there new shits heat
@Demon Slayer i miss the old slipknot😢
Idk. They seem more like a post hardcore, thrash metal
Griffin swears
Corey: Time out
Listen…. Vended is a band that has not even reached their peak or even have an identity yet. They are just getting their feet wet, as far as their skills they have talent for sure. Griffin has to fine tune his voice and continue to evolve, I think this musical style is over done, not saying there’s no place for this band, but I believe they need to do more than this similar sound that has already been done. Lots of talent and potential, but they have a very long way to go if they want to make it big.
Keep on rocking guys…. #ALLLOVE 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Need to work on voice for sure man that needs to be prio1 i can practically hear his vocal cords ripping
There is a wrong way to do growling and this is it
Yeah vocally he sounds great but that style of scream will not endure over time. He will injure himself if he isn't careful. And the fact that we're even mentioning it is surprising. Now it could be that he's young so his tone SOUNDS like he's doing it wrong, but he's actually using proper technique. I'll afford him that, because Corey knows first hand what improper technique can do to your voice over time. You'd think he would drill that into his son to ensure longevity. So I'll hold out until I hear this band do a full set in a year or two. If he's struggling in the last couple of songs in a year or two, he's either out of shape or he's doing it wrong. Because that's exactly how Corey was before Vol. 3.
When Cory is too old to scream we got a amazing replacement
I close my eyes and hear corey
Same I hear him also
He literally sounds the same on the track and live this boy does not need auto tune I love it
Bruh you clearly know nothing about music if you connect autotune to every fucking singer 😂
Yo I respect them as their own artist completely but it’s crazy hearing the voice similarities to Corey, a whole new wave
I was thinking the same thing. They arent the same but they have those little idiosyncrasies that are very similar
If you knew they weren't Slipknot's kids, would you still support and like them??..I know I would
Yesss I love the music they remind me of machine head
Definitely! This is definitely fantastic! Although, I'd definitely compare with him Corey for the similarity in vocals and admire this fella
We would never know about them otherwise so what r u asking?
@@adesh2383 lmfao we would. They're talented. They don't suck dude lol
@@Rippersauc3 serían conocidos de aquí a unos 3 o 2 años si no fueran los hijos de slipknot
All the people who want to hate, there is an amazing singer who once said "You are wrong, fucked ,and overated" Griff keep if it up, you will eventually be up there with your dad!! Kick some ass with it!!
When you raise your son correct. This shit makes me so happy
So happy we have young bands like this ....good job i see a bright future ahead regardless of who the singer and drummer fathers are
Ya know, I'd love to hate on this but I cant...keep rocking dudes...Griffin sounds fucking good man...reminds me of his pop 15-20 years ago... I can only imagine the pride Corey must have watching his son from the side stage.
These guys have a lot of potential
Yep, Coreys kid
Dudes, this is fucking dope. You can tell it’s Corey’s son, fucking love it.
Agreed. I enjoyed it with a glass of No. 9 Whiskey! Wish I could go back to that moment. 🤙🤙
My god stop the hate , Slipknot wasnt that good live either in 98 / 99.
He sounds just like corey
Why are y'all so mad lol. It's similar to Slipknot, of course it's similar. Yet it's still unique. If you don't like it, just go and listen to whatever the fuck you like and stop being mad over music
That’s something like my teacher would say. He got me into all the metal I like now but he would always joke about why they’re all so mad. I went to a slipknot show with him and he said it there lol
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Badass. 🤘🤘
Nice to see that they were put on the side stage rather than right to the main stage because of who they are. Corey and Clown are making them climb the ranks just like any other band would have too. I think they sound as good live as they do recorded. Griffin has a lot of vocal talent. He goes from Max Cavelera to Phil Bozeman in seconds lol. Got high hopes for them 👍
Both stage were the same size lmao.
There is so much hate in the comments….they are just kids…damn. I think they did a great job just starting out and I’m excited to see what’s in store for them 🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘
Amen. That's the UA-cam comment section for ya. Everyone is an expert, and everyone hates everything.
Had no idea this was coreys kid on the mic and shawns on the drums
It's quite apparent already that these guys are going to have to deal with a lot of negativity just because of who 2 members parents are. If not for that, most nay sayers wouldn't give 2 shits and move on. They have similarities in their sound with Slipknot, but why does that have to be a bad thing?
Because there's musicians that slave year after year just 1 opportunity to give them the big break which will 9.9% / 10 not even work.
whilst 2 members parents get them a slot onto knotfest and sound like there parents band.
At this stage of the band it's not for me but would love to see them become there own and have there sound 🤘
It's an insanely tough industry if you've not gotten an upper-hand or way in nomatter the age, gender or sound. Would hate to see something like this pissed up the wall!
I think it’s because if they were the same band with the same name and everything, no way they would be on Knotfest, they got through a bunch of other better bands for being who they are, people find it unfair
@@gluv1 people who sit in the crowd will never understand the grind and sweat that goes into this shit when starting from nothing...them days are over! Everyone in the scene now is a family member or someone who knows someone famous...hard to be seen outside of that bubble and people just don't get it and will argue till they are blue in the face
I imagine they had the best music lessons/teachers/instructors money can buy. I mean.. if any old joe off the street could get that handed to him then I imagine he'd get pretty good too. Idk just doesn't sit right with me, I have a little trouble appreciating it.
Fear factory vocals with some og mudvayne riffage....it slams!
Exactly what I thought. Definitely some Mudvayne in there.
@@Shralps yeah there only problem is song structure and drum/guitar pattern is very basic (definitely not like vayne) but they're young they'll get there
Damn I don’t even give a shit Griffin and Simon are Corey and Clowns kids, these dudes have their own sound and kick ass.
Edit: people forget that Griffin is Coreys son and probably taught him how to scream. even if that’s not the case and Corey had zero influence on his scream (which I mean come on obviously he did) no shit they have similar voices regardless of that, I sound like my dad all the time. So does he. Still sounds different enough. Gives me mad mudvayne vibes or someshit.
This is the second time i seen someone said it reminds them of mudvayne. Honestly, i agree
Yeah I feel like they have a lot of punk influences too the music isn’t terrible not my cup of tea but I will say it rubs me the wrong way that they are slipknot kids. Like would they be playing knotfest if they weren’t kinda thing but props to them cuz it does take more than just being a famous guys son
Corey should be proud. They're both perfect human being and musician. You see; a good man raises good person. they'll be as successful as they're father's at least no doubt, even maybe better. Sounds very very flawless
*It will just get better.*
*1% of his power*
Corey looks too young here
Of course people with zero success are behind their screens hating on kids
he’s leeching off of daddy’s success he’s an industry plant and the music is mid at best
@@wizstick2230 so is half the bands that are on knotfest anyways so who cares
@@dylananderson1061 who else is leeching off of their fathers success?
You put yourself out there, Thats what happens, doesnt matter how old you are, people judge your shit.
The world isnt a safe space.
Nah, the drummer is talented as hell.
Its great seeing this happening in 2021, music needs a reminder of what the past can offer, especially in such an experimental time in metal. Its great seeing new people who appreciate the genre trying to revive sounds and incorporate new ones as well. And given the backgrounds of two of the members its rad seeing a child try to step into a roll they've seen and been around their whole life. Great job guys, keep up the great work.
Why are people giving him shit for singing like his dad? Most parents are happy when their kids wanna be just like them... it shouldn't be a issue here.
You also can't change the way his voice or scream are - because that's hereditary as well. People just like to complain on UA-cam. Nothing you can do about it!
It’s really not even “singing like his dad” so much as just playing similar styles of music. If he wasn’t literally Corey’s son then nobody would complain about his vocals
@@pnuemicking7347 agreed!
Imagine this fucker comes out hitting a forceto? Bruh be real.
@@pnuemicking7347 I'd actually compare it with Corey and admire the band! This band is truly going to rock!

They’re a baby band yall. They’ll grow into who they are in due time. Can’t wait to see their progression- just think of how awesome they’re gonna be in 10 years from now. They were great live and they’ll only get better
Pay attention at 2:20 . That is Corey's earlier and vol.3 era vocal sound
So nothing new to see here.

I cant get over how much he sounds like his father. Paint and hair kinda resembles Coreys first mask too.
Not first mask
They may have there own sound, but you can totally tell, that this is Cory son singing. He sounds just like the early Cory. Nice scream voice.
Man, he had his own kind of scream rn, Corey never went to shriek levels (maybe on Self Titled?) that's a good sign
I can tell that there are a lot of butt hurt people/failed musicians in these comments. Why Tf are people hating on this band?!?! They are extremely young, and are still creating/inventing their own sound!. I seen some Dyck head(s) saying they are trying to sound like Slipknot, Well no shit!!! two of the members were born into that slipknot sound!!, They will eventually create their own!.
As a drummer who's started a band from Start to getting Signed and Toured, the shit isn't easy. In time they will be pretty big, so get off their nuts people!. Start a band yourself if you're bored.
Everyone here talking about voice similarities, look at Jacob nowells band law you would truly think it’s Bradley nowell singing
True but Law and Sublime are soooo very different from each other. My son just had a Vended song playing and I thought it was a Slipknot song I hadn’t heard, lol. I love Law, I loved Sublime, love Slipknot and now Vended too.
From the garage to festivals. No dues paid. Thanks dad.
You sound bitter as fuck
With those stances you know he is the blood of Cory taylor
Pretty good, lack of a chorus is kinda weird, and the stage presence is just NOT there, otherwise really pretty good for such a young band, griffins vocals are damn good!
So much potential, they’ll definitely learn more as they go
There is a chorus, its just not "sing song". It's just a short aggressive song. With a pretty clear intro > verse > chorus > verse > chorus > solo > breakdown structure.
Fuck the haters! I digg!
Speaking of which, I’m getting some Mudvayne Slipknot vibes from this.
I was at this knotfest it was awesome
I fucking love their splatter paint asthetic. And the music
this gets me so excited for the future of metal.. and I thought it was dead
You thought metal was dead??? Metal is as big as it’s ever been with so much great talent coming up

And this band is nothing new just some rockstars kids mediocre band riding on dads coattails while slipknot fans feel they are obligated to like them. There is a level of retardation amongst the diehard slipknot fans that is mind blowing it would still be funny if they dropped the masks and concentrated more ok n the music just to watch you guys throw a bitch for about them not wearing masks kind of like retard metallica fans when they cut their hair. They sound good, they don't have a huge flashy set up, they have a small banner and small rigs. So who gives two shits if if they weren't children of slipknot members.
