It's nice to hear a professional that doesn't instantly hate 2 point rotations. I've been told it's bad because it gives a looser look, but then no one follows up on why that's bad if you like the look... I have fine 4a hair that's been dying to loc my whole life so I'm not too concerned about anything coming apart, and higher volume is appealing, though I will keep an eye on it and not be hard headed if I need to up the rotation haha
First of all, were you listening inside my home about 4 days ago?? Cuz mind your business. Lol I JUST started considering self reties after 3 years of being interlocked AND wanted to do the 2-pt rotation and then this video popped up on my feed as soon as I came on YT to look at something else. You nosey chile. 😂😂 And while watching, I came to the comments to ask if I could switch from 4 to 2 and while I was typing my question, you were answering it. Lol This is too funny. Thanks for the information. This is exactly what I didn't know I needed until I saw this. ❤
My strands are fine and I wanted my hair to look fuller so I do a 2 point rotation. It's also easier as I self retighten, as you mentioned. I love it! With practice I have cut down my retightening time drastically. Thank you for all the info!
Just started my loc journey over this time with micros. I’ll be using the 2pt this time around because I have fine hair and I don’t want my retie to take forever. 😂
I started my own/maintain my own. Started with 4-point and switched to 2 for the very reasons you said. I don't have dense hair. I was concerned the 4-point might make my locs look to thin or narrow. It's also easier, quicker.😊 Love your channel.
Great video Pauline, I’m a Diyer & self maintain been 4 years now. I use the 2pt rotation also for reasons you gave, with my hair I noticed that it shrinks up a lot as that rotation curls up on itself, have you noticed this? I’m curious too have you ever experimented with the 3 different rotations on someone’s head to see which one results in best length of a loc? Thank you for your sharing your knowledge with us. Stay blessed 😊🇬🇧
Thank you for this! I love your videos and your work; always so informative and professional! Thank you and bless you for providing education and great info!!🎉❤
Your loc videos is exactly what I need. Been looking through various videos, but you have everything on your channel that I need. Thank you for sharing luv 😊
Thanks for this video! I'm biracial and want to get my hair started interlocked and was thinking the 2 point. So can I have it started by 4 point for a couple of rounds and then switch to 2 point? My hair is like Becky but has more texture.
hi I am 4 months locks. I started with coils and have interlocked once the first time, however my locks appear thinner, will the interlock grow out and go back to the original size. You can see the knot which I do not like and it feels tight to the root. My locks looked much fuller with just twisting. I don't like how it looks and feels. I don't want to start my locks again. Please help and advice from anyone would be great.
I have dense very coily hair. But i the reties hurt at the top 😭 i think my locitician changed from 3 to 4 to make it better and it helped some but not enough? What should i do 😭
when would you recommend a 3-point rotation? I have fine medium-density hair and started doing my own reties, I want quickness but still tighter than a 2-point.
If it's a store bought leave in conditioner, it should already have Perseevatives in it. But once you dilute it with water, if changes the efficacy of it so the time is shorten. You wouldn't know how long it's good for unless it is tested. To be on the safe side, stick to 7 days with it refrigerated

How did the switch go if you ended up doing diy with the 2pt? I’m about to start this too

Yes, please do a part 2 sharing the benefits of a four-point rotation.

does 2pt rotation make your locks look longer than if it were 3 pt rotation?
No, it doesn't make it look longer
Great video. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
10:53 if you have fine low density hair, would a 2-point rotation be okay for small sized locs?
Thank you beautiful was waiting for this video ❤, thanks hun
Good to know. Thanks for watching
Are there instances where locs are started with a 2 point rotation? So like can one gain more volume like when starting with 2 strand twists?
Thank you

A 3 point would be okay to do for fine hair.
Thank you!!

Hey Pauline, how long can you keep jojoba oil, leave in conditioner, and spring water in a plastic spray bottle???😢😮
