Thank you for bringing me to Paris today. I enjoyed the walkthrough. Very interesting. I am sure that I will never be in Paris, so I really appreciate these videos.
@@freespirit9299yes, well there were works even before in the past. Let’s say that people are veryyy patient. 😅 The whole station and its neighborhood is under work. - they have covered the additional lines (1-7) with a concrete roof (those with the white columns looking like Egypt at the end of the video) and built a building over it, - they have almost finished renovating one of the largest glass Hall of France over the railways. It is a protected monument so they preserved the 1920 architecture. It will be beautiful 🤩 - They are also building a huge settling well to capture 50 000 m3 of water (and rain) and be sure to treat it for pollution before releasing into the river Seine. Remember they plan to ensure the de-pollution of the river Seine so that you can swim in it during the Olympics and after. - They will put a garden on top of the well - and they are building a huge building next to it with offices, appartements, stores and some hotels. - they also created a large bridge over the railways. The station grand hall is supposed to be finished in a few months (2023-2024) and the final project with the adjacents building of this neighborhood before 2030. This railway station is one of the more beautiful in Paris with this huge window hall. (Even more beautiful than Gare de Lyon).
