I love the sound when you turn the aperture ring. Manual lenses are very good options for making most out of the new cameras. They are inexpensive and pack a lot in terms of quality. Loved your video.
Just bought this lens to use on my Canon M6 Mk2. Your explanation on how to set the camera for use without a lens is perfect. This lens is quite nice to use on this camera. I have the TTArtissn 35mm f/1.4 too and will be buying the 17mm f/1.4 soon. Quite a nice set of very affordable lenses to use on the M6 Mk2. The bonus lens on my camera is the Canon EF-M 22mmf/2.0. It is very small and convenient if I need auto focus.
Thank you very much for sharing. Yes all these lenses are quite good for such a affordable pricing. Pancake lens you’re talking about 22mm is awesome. Everyone really likes that lens. Enjoy!
I took this out for the first time yesterday to an auto show on my Fujifilm X-Pro3 and really enjoyed it and the images are just amazing. I ordered the TTArtisan 35 1.4 and waiting on delivery... This was my first time using a manual focus lens since my Olympus OM system back in the 80's. Nice video..
I still use the M50 for self videos and on the go camera...its the so fun camera. I have the recent Sony and Canon bodies. Sony AR A9..Canon R5, R6... thank you for your intro to this lens... this lens will be really fun to take out for stills subject capture. It will be great for my battery life, without running the focus motor, i expect a better battery performance as well.
Thank you so much for your review and your advises, I just received this lens and I was pretty lost, I didn't know how to shoot with it... You're my savior 😇
Do you know what I think I prefer the old school Pentax Takumar 1.4 or the Konica Hexicon 1.4 old school 50mm lenses but the Konica the images are stunning.

Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. I am interested in street photography and starting to learn it. Eventually I want to purchase a Canon M100 and looking at manual lenses because of my strict budget. I just subscribed to your channel . Have a good day. Keep shooting
Ahoj Zdenka, when I checked this lens online, I found out it has very decent reviews and for the price it is a no brainer. In my opinion, this is a must have for any starting photographer. (Like your Zenit memory, It reminds me of my first camera - dad’s Exacta with 50mm/f2.8 Tessar.) This lens is available for MFTs too, quite important for me as a die hard Olympus user. Even though I own OM Zuiko 50/1.4 that I use with OM-D adapter ring from time to time, my experience with old film prime lenses is quite mixed due to absence of additional reflective coating, so important for use on digital bodies. As your review is showing, the step up aperture setting is not ideal for cinematic shooting but it is still a fantastic lens for portraits or stills. Thanks for posting. This review is very useful.
Hi can it be compared with the canon nifty 50?, since it almost at the price range besides of the adapter. Will like to know your opinion. Thank you for the review.
Thank you very much. Unfortunately I’m not able to compare them as one is strictly manual on the other one is automatic. Those are completely different lenses
Hi. I have a Sony A6000 + sony FE 50mm 1.8. I would like clear glass FOR PORTRAIT no matter if it has AF or not. I hesitate between the 7artisans 50mm f0.95 and the TTartisans 50mm f1.2. Will there be a big difference compared to the Sony 50mm 1.8 FE? The f1.2 light is already cool, is it worth paying extra 2x more to the f0.95 light? Thanks for advice. Greetings from the UK
Ahoj Zdenka, Jak se maš? What a great find you introduced to me today, and just as important, how to set my Canon M-50 to start taking portraits here in Texas, where we also have a large Czech community from way back. I think I might get this lens next. I do already have the kit lens and Viltrox.
@@ZdenkaDarula Go read about Czech Texans (Czexans) on Wikipedia. You will be surprised. They are especially numerous in the Hill Country areas, which are the best places to visit, in my opinion. (Lots of old German towns too, like New Braunfels). Even I could study Czech at the University in Austin, because there were many students of that heritage seeking to reconnect with their language. One friend of mine did not realize that mleko was not an English word until college! One good thing is that there are plenty of Koláče shops even here in Dallas!
Try a 135mm vintage lens like pentacon 135mm f2.8 or takumar 135mm f2.5 U can get a m42-ef adapter and use in your camera.. For full frame and speedbooater.. Try once and thank me
No it will not work. Viltrox adapters (including the speedbooster) are used to mount Canon EF lenses to Canon mirrorless cameras. This Artisan 50mm F/1.2 lens has a *EF-M mount* made especially for Canon mirrorless cameras.
Just looked at some of the shots taken with that lens on Fujilove. Amazing for a lens at under £100/$100!! But.. how reliable is the shipping from China? Anyone bought one and had any issues?
$112 for a F/1.2 lens is pretty awesome. I was going to suggest if people wanted to save a little $$$ to look into a brand called NEWYI as they make EF-M lens, all metal, but in 50mm, it's only F/1.8. I have their 24mm F/1.4 that cost ~ $40 and it works great in low light conditions, and even better with my M100 full spectrum conversion camera, which captures in Infrared nightvision. I mainly bought this camera for astrophotography, but the California sky's have been obscured by all the fire smoke 😢
THANKYOU for the MF peaking tip!!! My eyes aren't as good as they used to be and this has absolutely improved my photographs!!!! Thankyou thankyou thankyou! ☺️

Another great video, Zdenka! I love your videos, so informative, and this lens seems to be quality at a great price. But....but...but....I HATE bokeh. I wish people would stop using it. It's 'arty farty' and it's going to look dated very soon. (That said, I'm looking forward to your next video). For a master class in perfect focus everyone should take a look at the Orson Welles film Citizen Kane. Absolute perfection of focus throughout the film. So, no more bokeh folks, OK? :)

Nothing like a great bargain. Now they need to make a bargain 50mm 1.2 for crop and full frame. I have a 50mm 1.4 and I barely wanted to dish out that kinda of cash. The 1.2 I refuse to fork over a thousand plus dollars, no way
