  • I had this idea for a tiny cute pizza place and I went for a more stylized approach with smooth end beveled surfaces to emphasize the toy feel.

    You should name all your objects and group them into collections. It makes your workflow more efficient and you wont have a huge list of objects called circle or cube.

    Realy good. But for beginner its waaaaay too confusing. Those buttons you press, its like half of that is not shown, it seems... But i'm slowly getting it done... First 2 minutes of the video, took me 1 hour :) Only because of your way of extruding everything from the walls. Never did this before.

    • @polygonrunway

      Hang in there! :) Yeah I know the screencast sometimes doesnt capture all (mostly when for example activating some mode like G or S, and after that it wont show more until i confirm the operation). I didnt find a better solution yet.

    Love the Pizza Place! Curious, do you work from reference or an initial sketch before you start modeling? If so, I'd be really curious what your first sketches look like.

      Wow, I really didn't know that :) Do you have some sources to this fact? I would like to learn more (I can nerd out about stiff like this sometimes :D)

    Hey @Polygon Runway, love your stuff, but if you have an object where you just can't figure out how to do it because of the shape or something weird what is your process for figuring out how to make that shape? I appreciate any any info.

    • @rusblenderdiary9155
      @rusblenderdiary9155 4 роки тому +1

      hey Dan! also a blender newbie here. I think using a reference photo to understand the individual components (geometries) of an object could help! Also learning abt different modifiers can help you achieve more complex shapes :D hope this helps!

    • @polygonrunway
      @polygonrunway  4 роки тому

      Yes, reference. Reference and again, reference :) You need to check lot of stuff before modeling if you never done some shape :)

    Hey, I saw that you used Ctrl + Numpad_minus and had the same effect as the Boolean modifier but did not work for me. How do you configure that?

    • @polygonrunway
      @polygonrunway  4 роки тому
