He didn't do 24 feet for the s8, only the iPhone, that's why the iPhone was cutting him, before, the iPhone wasn't cracked. I'm pretty sure the s8 would have been cutting my finger off if it was dropped from that high.
The reason why the S8 cracked the way it did is because it acts as a crumple zone like in cars. Depleting force over a period of time helps protect the front of the screen due to the back being thinner, the cracks will spread out the impact force thus restricting the damage to the main front screen. The continued dropping of the S8 covers the back in cracks and this will put more impact force on the front screen as this energy has nowhere else to go. This is unrealistic as you will want to replace the glass ASAP. This is to protect the S8 from internal damage from which the iPhone suffered. Just a bit of theory for those who are a bit confused.

I dropped my samsung 8+ in a cover today not even 1 meter from the floor it fell on a metall stick and the glass is broken. BUT you can't expect them to fare the same considering the different materials. I prefer the S8's materials to the iPhone's. Glass feels and looks so much better than aluminum.

Lets just use our brains here: A drop test which shows which phone is more resistant and stable to simple accidents like dropping your phone when taking it out of your pocket can influence and change the opinion of an undecided customer who has came to this video for help to get a better insight of what phone to buy. People who dont want their phone to crack after one drop may buy an iphone after this video which shows that iphones may just slightly be more resistant than samsung phones. Dont really get the logic behind your metal and glas comparison lol
If you used your brain in the first place, you would see it is made of glass and would use a case which negates pretty much any difference in normal falls. People didn't watch this to get knowledge; they wanted to see a phone shatter.

If you keep a case on the Samsung shattering shouldn't be a problem. I have glass on the back of my galaxy s6 and I drop it all the time. No scratches or shattering. I keep a case on it. I would say that based on the fact that the s8 can be in water no problem makes it a win. The iPhone had clear water damage and was bugging out. At the end of the day you want something thats gonna work. So I would take a phone that gets a little beat up but still works perfectly over a phone that looks good but is glitching any day.

When are people gonna learn that glass is made to BREAK!! Glass spreads out the force of the impact along its surface area to dampen the damage done to what lies beneath. That being said, it makes much less of a barrier for the cellular and other signals to pass through then a metal or an alloy back cover does.

Unlike the water test I think the drop test really depends on how you drop it. As in, you can drop it from 1 ft and crack the screen and the phone stops working and then drop it from a roof and no problems. And it wouldn't matter what phone. I know coz I have broken all of them.

The Samsung S8 has a 5.8 inch LCD display covered by a layer of thick Gorilla glass which isn't invincible but with that layer of protection, if you crack your front glass, the LCD display still works. So in that case, the S8 completely dominated the iPhone 7.
BTW, the iPhone 7 Plus has already been in a water test, it survived underwater more than 20ft,

I droped my Samsung Galaxy a8 from maybe 50 feet and he survived with no scratches at all. He had a mask and protecting glass but it didn't crack. I was schocked and impressed at the same time

Okay, who ever watched Unlockriver knows that the Note 7 survived 1000 feet. Note 7 also has Gorilla Glass 5 and IPhone 7 did not survive lol. So, Galaxy S8 should survive at least 1000 feet.

I had an S8 and with an Otterbox case and tempered glass screen protector the screen spiderwebbed out from the edge with a 3 ft drop.
Upgraded to an S10e and love it.
