I'm working on a part 2 with 10 more producers. I'm trying to finish it for the end of January. Some people seem a bit confused by the most popular song for some producers so here are the actual numbers. Those numbers are from January 2022, 6 months after I made the video because that's when UA-cam decided to recommend the video to more people. The difference between old and new songs was a bit bigger when I made the video. I'll write a separate reply for each producer and I'll put them in the order of the video so it's easier to find the producer that interest you.

If you also count reuploads and fan works Ghost Rule has a bigger presence but it's hard to tell if it makes it more popular than HIBANA or not because of the huge amount of videos I would need to consider so I counted only official uploads. Some suggestiond that never make any list, weirdly though they are super popular: Jin, Hitoshizuku-P, Mothy, Mitchie M, Manbou-P, Atols would be nice to have on a list like that for once. And Neru-p must be so interesting
Deco-sama is just quality since day one. Reference, sequels, (Does song even use the term sequels?), remasters, wordplay, and all that jazz. I like that in songs. And now with the whole Mannequin idol group with similar style of music. I am loving all his works
Same with Hachi, Kikuo, wowaka (RIP), Furukawa-P. Very unique, standout talents from their very first upload. Of course I'm leaving out some others but these four have always been my personal musical role models because of their wonderful use of sound.
That giga one threw me for a loop! I can definitely sense the signature impact of the vocals, but the instrumental sounds something akin to the style of Butterfly Right Shoulder and Piano x Forte x Scandal...
I cant believe you add UtsuP in this list!! Been listening to Utsu’s songs since middle school and he does improve a lot by vocals and music style!! I’ve been going on and off on his newer songs since I prefer his older songs (mostly CD-R to P.T.S.D album)

Something I think is fun is that Pinocchio P has like a redo of one of his early songs, Eight Hundred; if you make another that might be cool to hear for ppl who haven’t :}
Pinocchio-P's one of the few producers where the original vocaloid song is up to par with real people/singers for me. He just has a way of producing and tuning that instantly allows me to recognize it and it feels like it's a perfect fit for the song rather than taking away from it. Inabakumori is another one which hits a similar sweet spot I've recently found.
Mmm...🤔 I feel the years specially on pinnochiop, but in all of the examples, the characteristic style of vocal is here. Pinnochiop more sweet, nanawo more robotic, Deco more human, omoi more vibrato. The aspects that have improved the most are the soundtrack, above the vocal.
This really helpful for someone like me. I stop hearing vocaloid much since 2014. Watching this do really makes me want to listen vocaloid song like usual :")
THANK YOU FOR PUTTING YURRY. As a huge fan of him I'm really happy Also the video is really interesting, I wonder if a part 2 will ever be made in the future. Is cool how producers first songs like Pinocchio, cosmo or deco are very basic at first, but they still have something in common with their current style, being voice tuning, or the song's melody. They really resambles their future style.
Considering a lot of people seem to like the idea, I definitely can make more videos with other producers. But I'm just not sure how I can do with producers like Maretu or Masa since they deleted their older works.
Just found this video. God, I love Giga-P so much. His style is so distinctive, I could listen to it forever. His work with Reol definitely was a huge improvement step for him.
This makes me wonder about my favorite Vocaloid producer (Wintermute). His songs were great and they are all 2009-2012 something like, but he ceased his works. I can only imagine how amazing he would be today.
i need this this off my chest. Does anyone think mothy(akuno-p)'s tuning is worse than before? He redid some of his seven deadly sins songs and they sound really bad. Like evil food eater conchita or the tailor of enbizaka. The voices do this weird high flip and low dip and they sound nasally, more mechanical, and even less real when they do the talking bits. His new songs sound okay and they fit more to the newer tunes he's making but any of the remakes is like...no. I can't tell if I'm feeling nostalgia for the older songs.
Yes!!!!! And it doesn’t even have the benefit of having that charming older sound to it, like I can excuse lackluster tuning with older songs and VBs but when you have the benefit of new software and years of skills, you have way less of an excuse for sounding like crap haha
I started listening Vocaloid in 2014 but IDK why it feels already more than a decade lol. Although, I do have to admit that I am just a casual listener because even after 7 years there are still many producers that I don't know, from this video I only know deco27, 8prince, Giga, pinnochioP, nayutalien and all of them are my favorite Outside of this video, my favorite is supercell, Hachi/Kenshi yonezu, livetune, wowaka
Oh my god another person who knows irucauce She's so underrated tho the songs she makes are always amazing😭 Thanks for including her in this list i'm so glad to know that some more people knows her!
Thanks for the video!! No conocía la primera canción de Giga-P, él es uno de mis productores vocaloid favoritos! No conocía aquella canción reciente de NatayulieN, voy a escucharla~ 😍
Oh man, discovering and enthusiastically diving into Vocaloid since 2009 and sitting here now is indescribable with all the memories, the development and so on Makes me so happy it's still going strong
gotta say as an UtsuP fan his work has improved quality and vocal wise but music wise GOD DAMN its always a good day when a new song is put out by him. PinnochioP very much improved and imo i prefer his newer songs over his old works. DECO, cosMo, LIQ, and HachiojiP i got into their music a bit late so hard to tell how much they improved. Giga OMG THAT MAN IMPROVED. irucaice and YurryCannon i have not listen to. Man NayutalieN iirc the YT was taken down and that was sad but damn i love their music, not much change though but still banger songs. Also UtsuP older songs are still good, i still say that his best album is Traumatic, but DAMN Unique fucking kills it with the tracks it has. His weakest album though is Galapagos, as much as i love some of the tracks it just doesnt hit like the others.
note if you ever make a part 2 to this and include ghost- their first song isnt on their channel, you can still find it but the pv to it is lost also unrelated to what i said above, if you ever do a part 2, id suggest rip and masa works design
makes me feel a little better about myself to know that some of the most famous producers in vocaloid made things that sounded REALLY REALLY BAD at first.
Thank you for making this! Make me goosebump so much! I know vocaloid since 2014 and still hear their song rn, i love it so much! ♥️ Can know this is so interesting for me. Their history is always in our heart. ♥️

@@8bitidiot671 yes he has very amazing songs
Mmm...🤔 I feel the years specially on pinnochiop, but in all of the examples, the characteristic style of vocal is here. Pinnochiop more sweet, nanawo more robotic, Deco more human, omoi more vibrato. The aspects that have improved the most are the soundtrack, above the vocal.
This really helpful for someone like me. I stop hearing vocaloid much since 2014. Watching this do really makes me want to listen vocaloid song like usual :")
Happy to see Utsu here, he’s my favorite producer!!
a lot of the improvement in these producers really blown me away, especially with Giga and Pinocchio P
i'll just drop it
Non-Breath Oblige is an amazing song tbh
I think kikuo would fit in great in the second part, his style has changed a lot through the years
Already made part 2 and Kikuo is included ua-cam.com/video/VeJCD_vN2Vs/v-deo.html
THANK YOU FOR PUTTING YURRY.
As a huge fan of him I'm really happy
Also the video is really interesting, I wonder if a part 2 will ever be made in the future.

*”Bring it On” starts playing *
Me: *HYPE *
Sipasa
Sameeeeee
THE HYPE WHEN NAYUTALIE-N CAME WAS>>>>
SHE ALSO MADE MY FAVORITE SONG (dance robot dance!)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
pinnocchiop god-ish is much more than his most recent sound i'm am addicted to it
I love that producers who have been working with vocaloid for so long are also getting to work on big projects like sekai, it’s very nostalgic !
Just found this video. God, I love Giga-P so much. His style is so distinctive, I could listen to it forever. His work with Reol definitely was a huge improvement step for him.
This bringing back some heavy nostalgia for certain songs/producers. Amazing work!
Through this video I got to meet producers I've never heard of and amazing songs!
Wow Pinocchio p has improved significantly over the years
I think it's kinda sad that Electric Love only ended up in Project Mirai.
it's also a meme
AHHHH I LOVE GIGA'S FIRST SONG ITS SO GOOD!!!!! I wish he used luka more !!!
That's really a great video concept !
I didnt actually realize Shit was Utsu-P's first song, I remember it being the first song of his I listened to
This makes me wonder about my favorite Vocaloid producer (Wintermute). His songs were great and they are all 2009-2012 something like, but he ceased his works. I can only imagine how amazing he would be today.
I look forward to see what the future brings as well
i need this this off my chest.
Are you watching the official uploads? Bc his tuning sounds so much better
I started listening Vocaloid in 2014 but IDK why it feels already more than a decade lol.
Although, I do have to admit that I am just a casual listener because even after 7 years there are still many producers that I don't know, from this video I only know deco27, 8prince, Giga, pinnochioP, nayutalien and all of them are my favorite
Outside of this video, my favorite is supercell, Hachi/Kenshi yonezu, livetune, wowaka
Oh my god another person who knows irucauce
She's so underrated tho the songs she makes are always amazing😭
Thanks for including her in this list i'm so glad to know that some more people knows her!
Giga's improvement is staggering. We all start somewhere
I'd argue CosMo's most popular song is Disappearance, cause game + it was a song that defined a period in vocaloid history
15:31 We now have a vocaloid only version!
Thanks for the video!!
These are some really interesting videos, great work!
never heard of irucaice but their songs sound lovely! thank you for introducing me to them!
YESS you added utsu-p here!!!! i love him sm :))
Thank you for this. I found a new producer (can't believe I have not heard of irucaice before).
Kikuo :(
I will include him next time
The next part you should add MitchieM (that has a large trayectory by now), Kinoshita and Chitana(ちいたな)! They are great producers!
Oh man, discovering and enthusiastically diving into Vocaloid since 2009 and sitting here now is indescribable with all the memories, the development and so on
Makes me so happy it's still going strong
the pinocchio-p evolution is CRAZY, so proud of where he's at :)
When electric love came on I sang "electric chairrrr" and then was like: 👁👄👁
I dunno why I chuckeld a bit when you wrote he also worked with human singer 😂
And damn YOURBE DESCRIPTION BEEN IMPROVING WITH A LOT OF FUNCTIONS
gotta say as an UtsuP fan his work has improved quality and vocal wise but music wise GOD DAMN its always a good day when a new song is put out by him.
Hachioji-P's first song being Electric Love is honestly such a flex
I feel the nostalgia flowing through the video. Ah the memories
OMG IVE NEVER HEARD THE NON-REMASTERED VERSION OF UTSU-P'S FIRST SONG AND IM CONCERNED NOWW
Man old vocaloids are very nostalgic
Genuinely surprised that cosMo's most popular song isn't machine gun poem doll or the disappearance of Hatsune miku
Ahh, but Giga really is incredible aren't they??? Streamline Prism is already such an amazon song!
If you’re going to make more of these, please include Inabakumori, they’re so underrated
Non-breath obligue is a masterpiece
bro utsu-p's first song was such a banger back then, i didnt even know it was his first!
Man I had no idea hanauta was pinocchio P’s first song!! I’ve listened to his updated one but my god gotta check out his original one now too
Giga, Hachioji-P, and Deco are some of my favorite vocaloid producers!
flower has such a unique voice
PinocchioP coming from that first version of Hanauta to the recent Non-Breath Oblige is so wildly inspiring, he's come so far
i would have loved to see x-factor be covered with vbs as well but GOD i don't want to picture the charting
My favorite before/after is syudou starting out with his pear song 😹
@lemonssssssss4 Same with Nakiso's debut song. Probably the most relatable song I know
9:49 First time I heard this song was when I got my Exit Tunes Presents: Vocalostream album, now I NEED MOAR!!!
this is really interesting, good job!!
Thank you for including LIQ, I love their songs
non breath oblige is everything
note if you ever make a part 2 to this and include ghost- their first song isnt on their channel, you can still find it but the pv to it is lost
also unrelated to what i said above, if you ever do a part 2, id suggest rip and masa works design
god deco*27 makes a lot of songs.. stickybug II felt like its so long ago lmao
6:06
I cant unhear electric chair
makes me feel a little better about myself to know that some of the most famous producers in vocaloid made things that sounded REALLY REALLY BAD at first.
I miss old vocaloid so much. Miku’s voice was so different, and I love it. Good times ❤️
Hachioji has always been awesome lol
Giga from scratch after meeting the vocaloid producer Giga: am I a joke to you?
Pinocchio-P is def an improvement! I love The World Hasn't Even Started Yet and one of the newer songs, CosmoSpice!
Thank you for making this!
Make me goosebump so much!
I know vocaloid since 2014 and still hear their song rn, i love it so much! ♥️
Can know this is so interesting for me.
Their history is always in our heart. ♥️
So many of the first songs were made in the year or around the year I was born wow
