actually is style changed a lot, his firstest songs were really happy and with a lot of techno sounds, I don't get any emotion from that. While his more newest works feels a way more deapeer, like an infinite travel through the space of your own mind, when the bad emotions become poetry. A explosion of sounds and experiences, it's a hole style. I recommend you to look over the video that Kikuo released like 10 months ago, about his career through the years (from 2003 to 2021)
mothy is impressive. Who else can release 10pun no Koi (which isn’t bad though, we just really hear it’s their first one) and then the absolute masterpiece that is Servant of Evil two months later

mikitoP has always been one of my favorite producers in vocaloid, there's not a single song that sounds the same and it's a blast. It's really nice to see how the producers I've listened to as a little kid have grown too. Would love to see another part with nekobolo (sasanomaly now), yasuhiro, and 40mP!
It's astounding how many producers have changed and adapted to modern music and collabing with vtubers, music projects etc. I am really glad they can churn out consistently. So many other producers have died down, retired or release songs quietly here and there. EZFG was so peaked ten years ago and sticks with his signature sound and released a song a little while ago with Saki but hasn't got the reception I hoped it should have gotten. Adapting is tough. I love this culture and keeping up with it. Keep up the good work Blue Star.

vocaloid was such a part of my childhood and early adolescence, to this day i still find myself coming back to listen to it. be it old or new, it has a charm that no one else can replicate. i remember trying for years (not exaggerating, it took literal years) to find the song "failure girl" again, i couldn't remember the name and only the chorus remained in my mind, it made me emotional when i found it again, the same video by the same person who subbed it all those years ago.
and it was today that i, having never seen that image of pudding annihilation (or "Babusai Pudding" as its called on spotify) learned that the song was about literal pudding incredible.
can i just say that toa's songs are very different from your fast catchy beat type of song and its not very fast or slow and it's like drinking water after having a heavy tasting meal, very refreshing. adding on, mothy's songs still follow the old format of Vocaloid depressing ass songs which is interesting to see I'm not saying that the catchy beats are bad as I love those too, but the ones different from them and those who still follow the old format ish just remind me of when I was a kid and obsessed with Vocaloid when I found them. i mean I did slowly listen to more rockish songs compared to old songs, but those old songs are such bangers still

I have to day I miss the days of Vocaloid Trance being mote popular than it is now, producers like Aura Qualic, Aerial Flowx HanasoumenP, Clean Tears, etc. It does kinda exist still, but it's died a lot in popularity. Also miss the blow up of Utaite, and vocaloid music around the time. Still love the stuff coming out now, but the music has changed, and the Utaite scene is also vastly different, with most now making their own music, a handful of bigger names sticking around, or others having moved to vtubing along with covers. It's interesting to see how it's evolved, but I will always miss the past of Utaite.

I never knew it was just a bunch of individual composers working with the Vocaloid voicebanks I thought they were an actual virtual band who had songs specially made for them.
Edit: why is this getting likes .-.
It's not too late to have a Vocaloid phase! It's never too late to have a Vocaloid phase :3
Its not too late but dont go deeper ok?
@@onix4194 r u trying to be edgy or smth lmao… being in the vocaloid (or generally vocal synth) fandom is rlly fun and super interesting to learn about! even if sometimes lyrics are dark thats normal?
your vocaloid phase might start rn actually
be warned though, once it starts it never ends (i speak from experience)
Just letting you know, proseka was the thing that got me into my vocaloid phase, so yknow you might fall down the rabbit hole as well
You didnt include kikuo in here, but its interesting to see how his style has actually mostly stayed the same.
ua-cam.com/video/VeJCD_vN2Vs/v-deo.html
actually is style changed a lot, his firstest songs were really happy and with a lot of techno sounds, I don't get any emotion from that. While his more newest works feels a way more deapeer, like an infinite travel through the space of your own mind, when the bad emotions become poetry. A explosion of sounds and experiences, it's a hole style. I recommend you to look over the video that Kikuo released like 10 months ago, about his career through the years (from 2003 to 2021)
ua-cam.com/video/rJzGnGhH140/v-deo.html
@@y0iime38 actually i have watched that, and i do agree that it changes, but i think it always stays similar.
mothy is impressive. Who else can release 10pun no Koi (which isn’t bad though, we just really hear it’s their first one) and then the absolute masterpiece that is Servant of Evil two months later
The older songs give me a feeling of nostolgia, while the newest are bops
you can notice a song is old not just because of how bad the voices sounded before, but because of how the art style of the drawings in the MVs are, all of them have that 2010's anime art style lol im happy that there's more beautifull art styles now
Nah man Old anime style (or mid 2000 and 2010's) are fire and expressive as hell
@@aponyachuu yeah i agree!! but now there's more variety, you can see styles like cartoon or realistic, i like that
tondemo-wonderz being more popular than hello planet really threw me off
prob because project sekai boosted its popularity alot
i was so confused it makes sense but like HUH
cause pf pjsk
This series is excellent; the research is on-point! Kyaami has some real evolution (mostly her covers, but some originals) and Aqu3ra is getting really popular thanks to project sekai and gabuli, both might be worth looking into!
Vocaloid producers in 2011: Oh no, my pudding fell! :(
Vocaloid producers now: *HAHAHAHAHA NEON COLORS GO BRRRRRR!!!*
I know this is 9 months ago but i didn't expected to see you here XD
Also,if you see this HELLO!
@@Itz_Riku Hi! :D
@@RubyChocoCookie :D
So on point😂😂

Omg im so happy to see mikitoP and kairikibear!!!
I'm surprised hello planet isn't sasakure.UK's most popular song
yeah that's what I thought as well
It was... before Proseka changed everything.
@@ronelm2000 bro got personal beef with a rhythm game

@@kuukanz good 4 u?? Idk
if you are looking for more composers I would suggest Nanahoshi Kangengakudan or camellia but for both of them it is hard to pin down their early works but they are so good
also ryo(Supercell), Omoi, Tsunamaru, MIMI, bibuko, APG550, papiyon, Harumaki Gohan, MuryokuP are also really good also also Astrophysics is a good English Vocaloid composer also also also suzie has some of the best tuning I know of also also also also good job this series has been fun to watch
I already did papiyon in part 2
oops missed that
CAMELLIA 🤤🤤
camellia is amazing
mafumafu is technically one
edit: i mean he is, but he mostly do covers and all
To be totally honest, I would have thought that Bitter Choco Decoration would be syudou's most popular work. But I can also see how Cute Girlfriend could surpass it.
bitter choco decoration is still a total banger, lmao
Same but i still love bitter choco decoration
BITTA CHOCO DECARASHON~! 💖🤣
I thought it would've been Usseewa at first but I then remembered that a vocaloid didn't sing it
If Usseewa counted, it definitely would've been syudou's most popular
@@amberr3662 true
18:37 i was expecting bitter choco decoration tbh
Same
old vocaloid artwork feels so warm to me, it holds a special place :3
Agreed, it feels so familiar. Like the food your mother used to prepare when you were in primary school
Sasakure's music has always been absolutely amazing, from the very first song to the most recent one
I think my favorite thing abt being in the vocaloid fandom is being able to see producers grow over the years
Damn man I remember jamming to the X of evil series of songs when I was in middle school. The fact that that came out in 2008 is absolutely wild to me. Trip down memory lane.
I absolutely adore how Toa makes Miku sound so soothing
I wasn't surprised at all when I saw Pomp and Circumstance as Umetora's most popular song 😂😂😂
Ifuudoudou*/j
I WAS OBSESSED WITH TSUGIHAGI STACCATO IN 2020 TBH STILL A BANGER
FR THAT SONG IS SO RELATABLE 😭😭
Best 19 minutes and 17 seconds of my life.... Thank you as always!!!
mikitoP has always been one of my favorite producers in vocaloid, there's not a single song that sounds the same and it's a blast.
"Sayonara Pudingu"
i felt that
if you haven't already covered them in other videos, i'd love to see you cover Guchiry, Vane Lily and Ghost and Pals. They're some of my faves :3
I LOVE GHOST AND PALS OMFG my fav is prob honey im home
SAME! my other 2 favourites are appetite of a people pleaser and happy days
@@zephyr2473 YOO I LOVE THOSE TOOOO

Past 20 years old and still rocking Hatsune Miku and co.
Turned 23 a few days ago, and same for me!❤️
Same.
"It's not a phase, mom"
@@sannya_32 oof, yeah, my parents thought this was just gonna be a phase I grew out of when I first got into vocaloid and anime at 14. I'm 22 now, lol.
Ur videos re-sparked my obsession for vocaloid! Thank you for ur contributions to the community fr 🤧 I’m looking forward to the content u produce haha
It’s really weird hearing Kairiki Bear and syudou’s early songs sounding to different when they have such signature sounds now
NJOOOO MIJKU DROPPED HER PUDDJING NJOOO
I missed this video series
MOTHYYY YEAH also, if you do a part 5, could you please add EZFG and nyanyannya? Or maybe niki? Also this is great SKSKSKS
OMG YES NYANNYANNYA
mothy being immediately followed by HitoshizukuxYama's works really hit me like a truck. Both of those fuckers gave me permanent emotional damage and I love them so much.
This video is very nostalgic, many artists evolved a lot and I am happy that their work is becoming better known through more media than just UA-cam. (pro seka nicovideo project diva etc) It's even more surprising when you remember that Miku has only been around for 16 years.
vocaloid was such a part of my childhood and early adolescence, to this day i still find myself coming back to listen to it. be it old or new, it has a charm that no one else can replicate.
i remember trying for years (not exaggerating, it took literal years) to find the song "failure girl" again, i couldn't remember the name and only the chorus remained in my mind, it made me emotional when i found it again, the same video by the same person who subbed it all those years ago.
2:27 BRO IMPROVED SO HARD IN 7 YEARS
Tondemo-Wonderz is actually my favorite song on Project Sekai!! Well, including Romeo and Cinderella ofc.
and it was today that i, having never seen that image of pudding annihilation (or "Babusai Pudding" as its called on spotify) learned that the song was about literal pudding
incredible.
hoping to get JIN in one of these upcoming ones, you're doing the lords work
Servant of evil was my first vocaloid song i heard back in 2010. I miss it so much
ooh? mikitoP's tuning is actually super smooth. i rarely listen to the original ver of his songs
can i just say that toa's songs are very different from your fast catchy beat type of song and its not very fast or slow and it's like drinking water after having a heavy tasting meal, very refreshing.
adding on, mothy's songs still follow the old format of Vocaloid depressing ass songs which is interesting to see
I'm not saying that the catchy beats are bad as I love those too, but the ones different from them and those who still follow the old format ish just remind me of when I was a kid and obsessed with Vocaloid when I found them. i mean I did slowly listen to more rockish songs compared to old songs, but those old songs are such bangers still
I love these videos! You do such a great job
syudou went from making a somewhat wacky song to producing absolute fucking bangers damn
I find it funny that kairikis second official upload was literally about dropping coffee pudding and I'm pretty sure the ending says "goodbye coffee pudding" if I heard that right
Yesss “sayonara puddin”
I am today years old to realize Mothy’s newest song was made for project sekai what the blazing hell
A fun game is trying to guess what the artist is before the most popular entry.
You…… you don’t already know all their names by heart?????
@@mementomori1871 I'm the type of man who goes by vibes
I got to used to the Leo need version of the song ROKI.😭
thank you for including hitoshizuku x yama here, thye're my all time fav producers , the're rlly underrated, their songs are just wonderful. Edit 2023 Their most recent songs, those after Mr. Schadenfreude (idk i can't spell it) are sooo darn good but they don't get so much hype idk why they're wonderful. We can also see how Suzunosuke's art is improving over the years
So true and i love the maya pfp
Rain Dream Tower still has a chokehold on me :''D
I remember party junkie was my first song on this topic, it was a bop and still is. Now I’m heavy into Utsu-p and his song. I mainly use them for video game but still fire!
4:56 most fucking best transition ever
Why the freaking song about fallen pudding sounds so dope lmao?
I never knew Wakare no Oto was kairiki’s first!! I always thought it was such a beautiful song.
almost all producers do really high-pitched, fast chaotic songs now, I miss old vocaloid era so much...
toa, mothy: am i a joke to you
I don't
Me personally I love the chaotic fast sounding songs especially when the lyrics are very angsty 😭😭
I'm still surprised everytime I see hitoshizukuxYamas most popular song not being one of the synchronicitys 🤣 those had a choke hold on highschool me and my local cosplay community lol
ah, i see literally any mention of servant of evil still makes me sob,
(jokes and angst aside great videos!! so fun to learn about all of these producers)
im sorry but i love you for making this video 😭 ive been getting into vocaloids again and this is perfect
I like your videos, because this is a good way to find new vocaloid producers!
I would find it really cool, if you stated the number of views of the producers most popular video, so that I can see the differences.
9:19 FIOCK YEH IK HE AINT GONNA HAVE A SINGING PART IN THE SONG BUT SEEING KIYOTERU IN A 2022 WORK IS A BLESSING!!
Wait, Tondemo Wonderz has become Sasauke-P's most popular song?? Wow
Dang, Hitoshizuku×Yama
I'd never really looked at them as separate people
This is so cool
Videos like these sure are great
0:53 THEY SOUND LIKE ACTUAL PEOPLE??
For 9:08 it’s actually a song from mothy’s most popular series with akunoP, Evillious Chronicles where all the souls of the departed dance once more (It’s also called Waltz of the Departed in the translation)!
Ty for making these!They're a delight :)
2:55 if you guys noticed, the character design in “Bug” kinda similar to Nenechi (the hair style)
