We invited long time TR909 and TB303 owner DJ Mallorca Lee (Ultra-Sonic/Public Domain) along to meet Roland Product Specialist David Ahlund who had the first TR-09 and TB-03 units in the UK with him.

@ 0:41 the Kik is almost spot on but you can hear @ 0:49 the Snare is just missing that chunkiness..

yeah, i really don't get it… what's the point in making a comparison video when the viewer can't properly hear the actual sound -_-
the 909 is puncher and the 303 is juicer, but the replicas are pretty close

After DAW processing and these days the availability of so many analog sounding plugin's the boutiques will sound 99% close.
Not sure about the 303.The 909 snare has more splash. However, I like the new tight sounding snare in the 09. It's less Detroit. I also like the small size of the 09 - it's great for creating beats on the underground! Lol. Plus...the USB option will have me blending it with other things. I think it's a cool device :)

U.S. back with the bass drum! Awesome video guys. Been thinking about buying so been watching all the Roland TB-03 and TR-09 hype videos and have to say this is the best. Great banter from Mallocra Lee and asking some better questions than the usual videos and getting more info out the demo guys.
