I need help I can do the whistle really good but when I lift my finders it doesn’t change pitch it just stops makings sound

@@jefftheblockofcheese707 oh well! I tried to used the left hand as a base exactly like he does and the right hand to change notes and it worked a bit, now just practice I need I think.. Because I'm right hander

Another piece of advice I found, try playing with your hand pich open, and if it starts playing try closing your hand slowly to find the bass sound. Virtually the opposite. Go by trial and error..

Thank you so much! Just had to make more space inside the hand flute, and it's easier to change the pitch from there.

I always thought I was the only one who can play music with my hands like that! However, i use my fingers interlaced and i do this for years and years
How u change pitch in interlaced? I can only do the way he does, the interlaced i cant change the pitch, idk why

this i s a really nice instrument! I am practicing really hard and i nailed the sound. nailed to get a whole scale too :D I showed just the sound to my friends. but they thought that i just made the sound with my mouth or by whistling :( Ill prove them wrong one day :D thanks for this tip. This is perfect if u need an instrument if you have nothing but your body :D really appreciated and once again thank you very much for this tutorial!

I learned how to do it as a teenager, changing pitch accurately certainly took some time. But I also play the violin which probably helped along the way :)

Hi. Not sure if this comment will be seen on a video from m 2 years ago, but I wanted some help. I'm able to get a consistent note, but when I try to change pitch it becomes really airy and unclear. Any advice?

Eem i kinda picked it up myself but ive learned to just change the pich by making the chamber smaller

OMG, this is amazing, the sound you made is so pure...whenever when I open my hand, the sound becomes a blur and it sounds like farting , what is the problem?
Keep readjusting your hand, there are many positions that can work. Try blowing harder when you create the second hole.
I also randomly found a video titled "AMAZINGLY easy hand flute tutorial ( for beginners and advanced players)", try to google it, it's a 12 minute video of a kid showing off different ways you can position your hand a sounds you can make, it really helped me to get another perspective on it

Hey there! I still don't know how to play a song i heard. There is no tutuorial on youtube how to play a specific song. Any advice?
Just practise. If you can whistle all required notes, you should be able to whistle the song if you practise enough.

Hey mate so i figured the hand whistle when i was a kid but all i ever did were bird like/american native sounds so i gotta ask, how do you separate each sound so clearly?
I went through the same process as you. I was sitting in a music class as a kid when doing it and had this moment of realization that surely if the change pitches, you can separate them out. So I started by opening/closing the hand slower and getting an idea of how much I must move to change 1 tone for example.
