The red mmpr helmet is a perspective mess. Since that sentai I have never seen them repeat that kind of design style. You are right, it's a round form. It's also a round form with various tilts. So the side profile I think is probably tricking designers.
I’ve never been completely happy with any of the Zeo Gold figures we have gotten in the past, so overall I’m really happy we finally have a great rendition of him.

Yup. Instant buy. Despite size discrepancies between lines, I’ll always love and favor Figuarts. 💗💓 But for accuracy in domestic line, I’m in on this. Think I’m going to snag Tommy & Zedd first to test the molds, but....yeah. I think Gold is only the star as it’s the one with the least iterations, with this level of accuracy and care. And we never got a Figuarts version. But for those of us (read: me) who are Team Jason, or you just love Red Rangers, this set IS THE ONE to get. Hell, you even get the friggin’ Howling Canon in modular form! I think Hasbro really looked at everything (fan input, BoA releases and..uh..Figuarts) and just answered the call. Good marketing strategy for getting us into the line. Now, if they just uphold their end of the deal and give us more/varied releases of EVERY Ranger, they might have the equivalent of the next iPhone on their hands.
The power axe can go into axe mode if you slide the front part back like in the show. Now, if black ranger will be able to hold the thick handle is another thing... but it can go into both modes axe and gun mode. The red rangers helmet sculpt is too pinched in on the sides of the visors, making it look narrow instead of rounded. So it look alittle off. If you do a paint mod and paint a white trin around the visor, it looks SLIGHTLY better...just slightly.
Funny thing is that despite being the same molds as the Jungle Fury figures (except for the few that came out during RPM and thus share the RPM molds), Super Legends did Green, White, & Gold in the Jungle Fury molds way better than Jungle Fury itself.
@@DragoonMS now question is what happen to power ranger molds during samurai - megaforce that made the bandai the company to shrink the line and my next question is was it because of sales/profit the company was making as whole cause in my opinion shrinking the figures made things a lot worse for bandai

They went from kinda big in Jungle Fury to slightly smaller in RPM, to tiny in MMPR 2010, Samurai, & Megaforce to the fair sized Action Hero mold for Super Megaforce, Dinocharge, Ninja Steel, and the two Legacy waves that came before Legacy Collection proper. I don't think we'll ever really know *exactly* what hurt them with figures. (The lack of paint details may be a big part)

So you don't need to snip anything to get the shield off. Hot Water/Heat gun to pop off the shoulders and you can take the shield off without damage. Same goes for the other shield/vest wearers.
You didn’t point out that with the exception of SH Figuarts every single one has the wrong moroher. Jason should have the gold morpher that Burai/Tommy had.

I hope we get a retail release Gold ranger with Treys head, I also really hope we get Mikes head for Magna Defender somehow, I saw the Hasbro rep interview where they explain the lack of Mikes head but that still made no sense, when we are first introduced to Magna Defender, he is already using Mikes body, if they want to represent Magna Defender from many years prior to LG, including a Mike head would not prevent that in my opinion.

Armored version is regular mighty morphin power rangers which is why its the same. They have also only made the white version who does not have a gun. Do you know about power rangers and what has come out in lightning collection?
The Figurarts series is still currently my favorite. You may think they are too skinny, but all of the Japanese footage which the show used are the most accurate and these toys nail that. I hate the muscular look that some of these toys have so I always avoid buying them.
Honestly I'm not sure how they handle that stuff there. Like I said in the video though, its not unheard of for Hasbro to release slightly altered versions of exclusives at retail. They could for example, release a Trey head version of the Gold Ranger as a retail release of retailer exclusive.
A shame they screwed up the visor on Red. But it still looks better than that trashy looking Fighting Spirit Green Ranger. Gold, however...looks pretty neat despite the odd helmet. But here's a nice challenge for Hasbro: apply the basics of these molds...to the armored design of the 1995 MMPR: The Movie suits...
Am I the only one that thinks Hasbro's visor is to big? Or the outline design for the teeth is to small?....other than that I really wanta like the figure but I just loved figuarts version. ..its straight out of the show 😍 Everything is correct on him. Even his body proportions.
I have 2 of the duel green ranger and puddy pack from the lightning collection, and I have no need for 2 green rangers and 2 puddys. I'm a collector and am looking trade for a red ranger and gold ranger Zeo pack. I didn't get a chance to get red and gold ranger pack at San Diego comicon because I live in the midwest I'll even throw in a Magna Defender from Lost Galaxy. The sculpt of the red's helmet is off because it looks squeezed in on both sides of the visor. They made it narrow when it should be rounded.

That happy Jason head sculpt almost looks a mashup of Jason and Rocky to me. That might be the cause of the unsettling feeling?
Personally think Red's helmet looks just as horrible as all the other attempts in its own right. Its a shame too. 26 years and counting lol

I'm glad that there's the option get this set from Hasbro Pulse. Hopefully it won't be gone too soon like the 2014 Kre-O set was.
I hope that both Armored Red Ranger and Zeo Gold Ranger will be released as separate exclusive for either GameStop, Target, Walegreen, or Wal-Mart.
If other Hasbro lines are any guides, they likely will.
Possible with how some of the Marvel legends from sdcc sets have had single releases. Like Walgreens MAGIK for one.

I don't think either is off the table eventually. Both are more likely as some sort of exclusive though. Especially the Solar Rangers.

Seems hard to do a nice gold color

Mine was doing this too and it was killing me until I realized I was using the wrong hand. Also sliding it in from the top helps.

The only issue I have is the Dragon Shield and bands aren’t removable.
The shield can be removed. I did it myself. But yea the bands on sculpted on so...
The shield should be easily removable if you can pop the arms off in the upper arm area.
