  • Listen, you may not want to know where the poop goes but we should talk about it. Disposal of marine and human waste has been a big conversation for all maritime communities for ages and Tacoma is no exception. So let's talk about the pumpout stations and open the lid on one of the most vital conversations of the region. This is a FREE virtual program brought to you by the Foss Waterway Seaport and presented by Pretty Gritty Tours.

We've met at the seaport museum a year ago.. my grandpa was Mayor Big John. Family boat is adjacent to the seaport museum. We talk to the director and manager regularly as their security. I called 911 when one of their kayaks was stolen this morning.

it’s a metal wall and flood barrier next to a buried water pipe and they have a several minute time lapse voiceover about the engineering like it’s the fucking Apollo spacecraft or something lol

Do you know anything about the Washington State Stone Henge? The best way I can describe how to get there is going all the way up hwy 14 going east or hwy 84 going east and crossing the bridge from Biggs Junction if you come from the Oregon side. But I believe that it's between Yakima and Marysville. Just curious if you know the history of it at all.

The city needs to get all the RVs/vehicles and encampments away from the Foss Waterway. We live in a condo downtown and see the people from these encampments dump their waste in the waterway. The Foss Waterway has the most feces of any water in the whole PNW (according to the Tacoma News Tribune) because the city doesn’t do anything about the encampments near the water. The city slogan, “if it hits the ground, it hits the Sound” is a joke
