Your talent and instincts are staggering. I know you cut out some of the “boring” parts where you make builds or tweak sound, or find the right samples. But with 70k followers, I don’t think anyone would tune out even if you decided to stop producing and have lunch on camera. My point is that the parts you cut out are where most of us hit walls, or at least struggle. I’d love to see some more of the tweaking.

sick sounds but this is far from deathstep. I'd maybe consider it to have some tearout elements, but this just sounds like a heavy riddim slapper to me. Also cmon, can't make a deathstep video without a pan snare aha

@Mark Donald yea but the pan snare just adds more punch to the drop. I think a pan snare would have made this tutorial better since a lot of people don't know how to make them or use them.

@Mark Donald Some acoustic snares on drumsets are pan snares(or I at least consider them to be because pan snare is a recent term lol) because they tend to have some ring on them from the metal.

Almost sounds like what Code: Pandorum makes nowadays, death riddim is what some people call it.
I'm probably way too late to the party, but I loved the hardstyle kick in the middle. I love seeing those influences in music outside of the Netherlands (hardstyle is really big here, but hardly anywhere else).

Do you think you could make one that focuses more on the mix? Like for example when we hear the track before and after you put in the video effects the sounds change a bunch and it goes from sounding pretty normal to sounding 100% professionally made.
appreciate you man and ehhhhhhhhh idk most of mixing is just instinct after you learn it and then it just comes down to experience. so I don't think I could say anything profound or new, that's why I never show it. kinda a waste of time because you can find the exact same tips anywhere else

These used to be underground genres, but now that artists have gone lighter in these heavy genres and still call themselves deathstep, which most of them still are, they make it to dubstepgutter. Then these idiots like Mayflwr start making tutorials thinking this is the only example of deathstep, then somehow make it even lighter.

Just a little tip. death step is known for the triplet pattern and orchestral background. But you didn't use both of that. So it's more like pure riddim. But it's cool.
