My dad has 2018 version of this. Surprisingly, the older versions have a more solid feel, with better workmanship. The newer one has more features, so with that what you will.
Thanks for the great content. We have a 2015 RX450h FSport with only 47K miles (pearl white/macadamia interior) and we love it. However, we're thinking of upgrading and selling it while its in perfect condition. We visited several Lexus dealers on Saturday and none of them told us about the under-steering wheel heater - that's trick! Also, I heard you mention that the 500h FSport had rear wheel steering? We have a 500h loaner for 1 week and I didn't know that. The RX500h FSport is what I'd buy, but it's for the wife and the EV tech is just what she's looking for. We ended up getting into a fully (fully) loaded RX 450h +. The better deal is the NX450h+ for someone that doesn't need as much cargo room.
I think Lexus offered a white and brown wood combo which looks amazing with the nori green, on the NX you can get the green with a very nice caramel interior that is sadly not offered on the RX
How about anything? It looks ugly. Styling is not subjective. The interior is among the worst in class, materials feel cheap, fake wood plastic trim, no features, dated tech that’s gimmicky, pathetic handling and performance, etc Besides who in their right mind buys a luxury car for fuel economy…?

And look at the lemon branding rate on the Q5, same with the Volvo. I'd love either, but the Lexus would be so much more worth it to me just because of the reliability.
I like the color and most of the styling inside. The instrument cluster that is in the Rav4 Prime is better so Toyota would be better off using that in the Lexus too. I like the styling of the smaller NX 450 h + better. It’s got the same power train as the smaller Rav4 Prime so I’d guess it’s not quite as effective in a larger vehicle, but probably still pretty good.
Ngl it looks really beautiful especially in that green. But tbh if I were in a market for these types of cars I’d just get the regular hybrid atp because these start at what $70k?
It's better to lease lexus plug ins or ev models because of the incentives they'll offer. Heavily discounted at 10-15k off msrp at the moment for lease programs. Financing isn't worth it
@@ciello___8307 not much nicer you know. The RX doesn’t even have a leather dashboard or doors or airbag cover and barely any wood trim. All we get are injection molded plastic throughout the cabin
So it costs over 70k and you only get 300hp…, slow performance, pathetic handling, no features, small trunk and cramped back seats? Yeah okay 🤣. The competition will just ignore this. A gv70 is tiny inside compared to this. People buy it because its nice and comfortable and fuel efficient. They arent buying this to street race or destroy it at a takeover
That Nori Green is phenomenal. Green is very underrated.
Haha you know I agree 100%!
Absolutely would agree. I would definitely get one in that colour once my 2014 450H RX dies... Which might not be in a while 😅
I just wish they offered it on the IS/RC.
Just ordered my 450+, green. Long 2-3 month eta😠

To me personally, the Green exterior would reallyyyy pop with a caramel/brown interior!! Great review as always Matt :)

Love all of these but the first thing I see every single time is the line across the hood. So close to perfection
Great review.
This generation is aging well. Still looks good
@@ciello___8307 no it isn’t. It really isn’t…
It was already outdated and behind the times when this generation was unveiled
Yeah this green is gorgeous
I love the color on this & I think I can buy this.
Nice looking wheels. Love the green paint. Decent EV range for a plug-in hybrid. Lexus comfort and quality. What's not to like?

Toyota actually started plug in hybrids relatively soon. They have a history of tegular hybrids.

best of all worlds? worst of all worlds? Hybrids = driving/maintaining two cars at the same time. thanks for consistently high quality content!
Not to mention it’s very slow. Unless you get an xc60 or xc90
