In the 9th century, a world filled with legends and myths, the elder daughter Runa still holds hope for her father's return, who disappeared two years ago during a Viking raid. She has taken on all his responsibilities, including bow hunting, to provide for her family. Her mother tries to remain calm, while her younger sister refuses to give up hope that their father will return. But Runa begins to have troubling dreams, filled with darkness and mysterious signs.
Runa gradually realizes that these visions might be omens of a looming danger that threatens their small world. One day, she encounters a mysterious stranger who appears with a warning about an ancient threat that has now awakened. Runa understands that her skills with a bow are not enough; she must also decipher the signs leading her to the truth of what is happening.
She embarks on a perilous journey to find answers to the questions that plague her family. Along the way, Runa faces supernatural forces, betrayal, and uncovers secrets related to an ancient runic artifact that could be the key to saving-or destroying-everything she loves.
