Well done Geoff. I think this would be the first real decent video of the trip. Good job! I never knew the track cut through so much rock and for it to never go any further than Waikari. I guess going through the Lewis Pass to get to Nelson was always going to be an epic job. Wasn't that the original plan??
Cheers Peter, yeah there's a few other Weka Pass videos of mine that are similar , at some point i want to fly the drone seamlessly non stop from start to finish from on the train .... :-)
Nice video, but where? You say Canterbury but it seems more like Oz, NZ or western Canada than England? ..but then the autos are left-hand drive? Nobody out there on the land until we get to the station? Curious?
@@hughvane I agree, this was only meant as a shot that was used occasionally, my assistant did it at the last minute and the "main shot" was unusable, it is what it is, I am somewhat familiar with camera angles from 40 yrs as a cameraman :-)
Good work. Great to see the railway restoration groups going strong.
Awesomeness , the topography and the sheep gave things away!
Thanks for uploading this
Cor, dry as a chip there. Bring on some rain!!
Looks like the harrier hawk (& prey) met an untimely end @ 23:15.
You all know Weka Pass Railway but where is it?
Between Waipara and Waikari, alongside state highway 7, North Canterbury.
@@Goabnb94 where the big F is Canterbury?🤔
@@mike59317 South Island, New Zealand.
It is about 45 minutes due north of Christchurch

This is in the South Island of New Zealand 😊
@@rachealtrail2659 Thanks, I almost guess it!
North Canterbury
Lower engine camera angle, very unconfortable angle. Would have been better a central above hand rail angle.
Agreed, and from where it was, to the Left more.
