@@CherryBlossomBlyue So true. The trailers made it seem like some cheesy cringefest with a cliche "forbidden" romance that I immediately wrote off. But then I watched the first episode and I was hooked by the tone, sharp wit, direction, and general handling of it all. This show is good.
@@danielburton8561 The romance is great for me because Max and Liz aren't afraid to call out each others' bs. They are sometimes painfully honest to each other and see their wrongs, which I greatly appreciate. The show doesn't pull any punches.
Absolutely love this scene it's the family and the teamwork. Missing is Kyle, Alex and Maria there are the originals and part of the team. The family is almost together.

Well, the show is different and goes at a different pace, which isn't bad... but as I mentioned in one of my other replies above, Maria has no idea about the aliens... and as for Kyle and Alex... they might have been busy with other things so attend.

Yes, but I don't know if this incarnation is at that stage (just yet). Besides, Maria has no idea about Max, Michael and Isobel being alien/human hybrids with powers... and as for Alex and Kyle... meh, they could be doing some separate research in the bunker or just generally busy and unable to attend?

This new series seems to use more fluid sexuality with the main cast, so, why not?
Remember that in the original series, it took a while before they all got into a 'group' of sorts... but then again, events in this series seem to be developing faster and differently (which isn't bad).

@@shanadaddah1998 They could save it for the end of Season 1 and leave an 'open threat looming' with the whole group talking it over together at Max's place as a sort of 'to be continued in Season 2'. :D

How are they not realizing that it is Noah. It's so obvious, like he knows exactly where the serum was
I think the 4th alien is Izzy's husband. He took the alien wife fucking topic, too calmed
So basically the 4th alien didn't even know about the serum until after Isobel recovered, which makes me doubt Noah even more because the 4th Alien probably would have intervened since Liz created the serum not then (assuming he/she is knows everything that is going on as they said)

So the 4 alian we all know is Tess, but i dont think she is the killer that is Nasedo wright ? the gurdian ? i am liking thins version more grown up of roswell, i did watch the show for Michael and Maria more than Liz and Max. Katherine Heigl as Vilandra was mega fitt
Tess was created for the original tv show, but she was not in the books. Like Cameron, not in the original, but is in the books. So, there may be no Tess other than a prom mention.
Tess has only been mentioned in this series she's not coming back! The writers have already said so. Frankly, I think she ruin the first series anyway. Emilie de Ravin is a great actress I just didn't like her character. And you have to remember that this is a reboot not the original. Yes I loved the first the original series and the books. But I'm really loving this one as well! As much as I don't want the fourth alien to be Noah I think it is. I'm really kind of hoping that at the end of the series Isabelle ends up with Kyle.

The aliens in the original books were all males. (Two that were the same age as the original three, one good that crushes on Liz and the second was a mean violent bad boy that was in love with Isabel) the other two aliens were grown up males - one that helps and guided the kids and the other that was a killer. In this version Cameron is the equivalent of Tess. So I'm thinking that the 4th/5th alien is male.

I know Noah is probably the fourth alien, but I find it vaguely annoying that the only brown alien is the evil murderer. Actually, every possible suspect for the fourth alien - Noah, Maria, Maria's mum - are all brown. I hate when they're heavy-handed about a certain political issue - immigration, racism, xenophobia - but they don't back it up with casting decisions. Like in The Gifted - there are similar themes about racism and alienation but most of the mutants are white, and the lead investigator for the government is the only black guy on the show. It's so contradictory. The alienated people in America, that suffer the most systemic racism and scapegoating for immigration, are the black and brown people. Why does not a single tv show reflect that, but still pretend to be about those issues?
