Another fine restoration. I enjoy watching you do these. 👍
That makes me happy, thank you :)
You two are an adorable couple! This cork puller looks really cool on the cupboard now that it is back to its former glory!
Thank you so much Hunter :)
Oh my gosh, so good to see you both enjoying a glass of wine together! You're both beautiful!
Thank you very much :)
This is a very interesting tool and is requiring some attention to detail to make it right. Of all bottle openers I have used or used, this is the first one that I have seen at an angle. Most are regular top down screws. Very nice work cleaning this one up and getting it ready for its revival. Thanks for sharing this video with us and please remember that this Texan watches you with a big smile on my face. Paul
Thank you my friend for the comment I am always looking forward to :) Radek
I love this couple. They are so cute together. The cork remover looks great!!
Thank you so much Alex :) Radek and Veronica
Amazing how in the past people came up with ideas to invent a household machine that is way more expensive and more complicated than what is in use today. I own a corkscrew that consists of nothing more than a sharp screw attached to a simple handle. But I guess the one that you restored so excellently was in use at a wine chateau, or in a restaurant or hotel. Please keep making more restauration videos of objects of yesteryear!
Yes, I agree and thank you for watching my friend :) Radek
I love this wine opener. I wish I had this in my kitchen. Pretty work!
Thank you so much :)
You have a wonderful restoration channel. Your happiness is so apparent. My first guess was that you were restoring a bottle capper. Then I saw the corkscrew and realized it was for removing corks. Another great restoration. Thank you and smiles from the USA.
Thank you so much my friend :) Rdaek
Hello Radeck
Once again, it is a very nice restoration. BRAVO !
I think you placed the device too high on your furniture at the end of the video. The fixing screw was set at table height but it was more a device for bars and restaurants. It is useful when there are a lot of bottles to open 😉🤣. But when the corkscrew is beautiful, I understand that we want to use it ... 🤣🍷🍷🍷🍷 Cheers ! 🤣
Yes, I agree, it was high, but I don't have a table with an edge where I could fasten the corkscrew, that's why the cabinet :)
Very nice job again and I especially liked the gold powder. Very artistic.
Thank you so much, I am pleased :) Radek and Veronica
Recognized the corkscrew as soon as I saw it. Many decades ago I purchased a large number of cases of Bordeaux. A special box was included and it had the same one as yours. Only difference was that my gift was sealed and never been taken out of the packaging nor used. It worked perfectly. Great video and thank you for a brilliant restoration. 👍
Thank you for your story Chuck :) Radek
So enjoyable to watch you Veronica and Radek. You two are so Awesome together and to watch your creations of restoration go beyond any expectations. Just love watching all your video's. You two are Awesome.
Thank you Dean, we are very pleased :) Radek and Veronica
I love the work you both do. I'm not a restorer so it's probably why I'm frustrated. But in practically every video I see there's a lot of use of the sand blaster, which does awesome work, I just hate the pitted finish it leaves. Though for getting into difficult areas it's very good.
Yes, the sandbox is a great asset for repairs and renovations. Some places are really hard to access, so it is a big help. Of course, it is also possible without it, but the renovation takes considerably longer.
@@VeradonaRestoration@VeradonaRestoration I know, I just realized it sounded like I was just talking about your videos, my mistake, I was talking about all the metal restoration videos I've seen. I know to not only do the work but also the time it takes to edit and put out a complete video you do have to do what's necessary. Thanks so much. Oh the other thing I really love about this piece is that when you withdraw the screw from the cork it slides up into safety inside the mechanism. Everything about it is just so well thought out including the angle of the mechanism, absolutely perfect for the way one normally would hold a wine bottle to remove the cork without spilling the wine. I can't imagine how you two felt when you found this device. So exciting. Lol
@@teariana1 Yes, it was a wonderful joy when we bought this opener. Today we have it displayed on the shelf in the living room and friends are constantly wanting to buy it from us. Lol
It's an antique cork puller. Btw, super satisfying restoration as always
Thank you Vaios :) Radek

Of course I've seen the answer, but I don't drink, no matter how enchanting your wine looks Radek. 😉😘 But my joy is in watching your very good videos and the amazing amount of skills you have. Thank you very much for sharing my friend.. 👍🌹
Thank you so much :) Radek
At first I thought it might be some kind of grinder but then the screw seemed too small so it was nice to see it was a mechanical cork screw . I’d love that in my house . Fantastic restoration job
Thank you Matt :) Radek
What great cork remover. It was certainly worthy of your attention.
Thank you Chanda :) Radek

My guess: Corkscrew for wine. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Perfect bottle of wine to go with Veronika’s burgers. Cheers.
Thank you for watching our UA-cam channels :) Veronica and Radek
I was right. It was a bar corkscrew. This one must be quite expensive considering the decorations, it may be from the 1930s.
In any case, still a great success. Congratulations. Véronica's burgers look delicious, as I haven't dinner yet it whets my appetite.
I did not quite understand the rules of the contest. The answer is 5? I admit that I did not quite understand the question.
Good to see you both. You seem to me to be so accomplices and the look says it all.
I wish you a great week my friends.

That was a fun video, I spent most of the restoration trying to figure what the tool was for.
Salud Veronica.

These are the best mysteries, where not even the presenter knows what it is. And you get to explore it and discover things together.
If you watched until the end of the video, you already know that :) Radek
Bonjour Radek superbe ce tire bouchon belle vidéo .
Merci mon ami :) Radek
Nice job generally on the restoration. Seen these things quite a few times in restaurants, probably makes more sense there, when you need to open a lot of bottles every day.
Few things i would have done differently is to maybe use a little bit less of the golden overpaint, but i guess thats just personal taste. And i would never use any paint/lacquer on moving parts, especially inside a machine, just because that paint will start to be scratched off, and mix in with the grease making an abrasive paste wearing it down more over time. And i would definately not want to have the corkscrew bit in contact with any grease, as that could end up in the wine bottle.
Thank you for your honest opinion. Fortunately, the corkscrew does not go through the whole cork, so there is no contamination of the wine. Radek

The thing I like about this cork remover is that the screw to remove the cork is well protected.
Yes, I agree, they are very well and thoughtfully made. Thanks for watching our video :)

Lovely preservation of history. Well done
Thanks David :) Radek
I think I knew what this was as soon as I saw the screw inside, my favourite kind of over complicated every day item.
Cool , thanks :) Radek
For me that object is what corks put on bottles of wines when you open and seal them again...👍🤗👏
:)
This time I did indeed recognize the object! But I didn’t know how they work. Thanks Radek!
Thank you Harko, I hope you will participate in our competition :) Radek
Very good excellent restoration
Thanks :)
The drybrushing was a nice touch
Thank you Simon :) Radek
The minute I saw the spiral metal I knew it was to remove the corks from wine bottles. But how beautiful a machine. Today everything's modern with lots and lots of plastic and no beauty.
Yes, my friend, I completely agree with you. The work back then was of better quality, including the material they used. Previously, they were able to play with it so that the result of the work was always effective not only for the eye, but also for functionality. The corkscrew works fantastically. It is a beautiful decoration in our home. Thank you for watching :)
Excellent!!!!!
Thanks :)
I have one of these and no matter how much work I do on it I still have to twist the top of my wine bottle to open it up. -)
That's great I never seen one like that before but I'm not much of a wine drinker
Thanks Peter :) Radek

I'm 76 and watch you restore lost of things but, i didn't know what this was until i saw the worm screw come through the hole ?
Question, how did they drill the hole through that block, is it a casting made like that ? Ya'll make a wonderful couple ? I alway's ring the bell... See Ya
Thanks to a friend for watching, I'm glad. The helical casting is made of lead or tin from which the corkscrew is easy to get out. Radek
