That is SUCH a sweet mama! I know her kittens will get snatched up asap, but blessed be the person who decides to take Mama. I can tell she is a gift already!
Yes she is sweet! I just found that one of the feral cats around me had four babies and their around the age of this mama’s kittens. So how old are the kittens in this video?
I've heard that the bigger the litter with animals, the more times they've been pregnant. Hope she's now spayed and was able to be adopted if she wasn't feral :)
@Arnust ... Oh my goodness! I have to imagine that they were all VERY small and hopefully did not have health issues and all grew up well :) Mother nature is not so great about dealing with a litter that is so extraordinarily large.
She sure is a sweet mama! Glad it’s her last litter, even as adorable as they are. As I started this video, one of my girls jumped up on my tummy and was making biscuits like mama. It’s such an endearing trait. Both of my kitties were spayed very early and were rescues. I’ve been volunteering and fostering over the last ten years and has been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I actually got to meet you Hannah in Oklahoma a few years ago. That was a lot of fun, but also important. Spaying and neutering is the only way to slow down this over population. I think it’s time vets begin to help in the process as well by lowering their prices for spay/neuter.
Vets could lower the costs of spay/neuter, and they should. But they could keep their prices and offer their services free to TNR programs, as well as to the Shelters that have cats or dogs in care. Even doing that would help both programs to thrive and save more critters! My vet has a price option for spay/neuter, they have the TNR pricing, which is bare bones, and they have the in house pet regular price. Anyone can choose the TNR pricing, or rather around here it is called the Barn Cat pricing. I chose the Barn Cat pricing, and for two females I had been given, costed 350 dollars total. regular price would have been 30% more. I took in these two cats as a favour to my daughter, her friend was going to drop off these two female inside cats at the SPCA and I took them with the condition they get spayed immediately. I did not want to be the cat lady with a hundred cats in her house. I suffer with anxiety which causes me to not interact with people on a daily basis. It isn't until my needs outweigh my anxiety that I can leave my house to make a very fast trip to my grocery store. Then I am back and safe in my home again, my outing taking all of about fifteen minutes.
@@RehmanKhan4u wow. For us, the price is about one day's worth of work on average. I couldn't imagine having to give up a whole paycheque to get the cat/dog spaye/neutered. That's just insane pricing.
My daughter and I recently took in a neighborhood stray that was pregnant. I’m glad that we did the right thing. I wish this video had been available 8 weeks ago because we weren’t always sure what to do. But the Kitten Lady videos and our vet were a great help. Anyway, Peaches, our stray, had three beautiful little babies and helping them grow week over week has been so much fun. The babies are almost 8 weeks now and we are working on finding furever homes and getting Peaches fixed.
That's awesome my cats name is peaches 🍑 I guess it's common huh 😅 mine is calico with huge green eyes she's beautiful! Idk how it would be to have a pregnant cat just my two adult cats are alot of work bless you all that take in fosters and especially pregnant ones it is a hard thing to do! 😊
When my family adopted a cat we later found out was pregnant, we made the garage into a safe space for her with a nice comfy box to give birth in, and she chose a garbage can full of sharp lawn tools instead xD She did move them to the box later after we encouraged her, and now all the babies are happy healthy adults
This is one instance where my eyes stay on Mama more than the sweet kittens. It’s such a beautiful thing to see in these awful times. Kitten Lady’s photos and videos have helped me through some bad days. She’s a warrior for all animals and wish there were more out there but she’s made such a difference in the advocacy for all our precious creatures. Thank you for what you do every second of every day Kitten Lady. Kudos to Andrew too and all your staff 💗💗💗
I can attest that it's very important to limit the hiding spaces. When I was little our cat had babies. She was a very insecure cat anyways so she started hiding them places. Once she dropped both of her babies behind some moving boxes in the attic and couldn't get them out again! Or maybe she just forgot where she put them. Fortunately my mom found them in time so they both were okay :)
watching this reminded of when our cat had kittens (she was spayed asap dw) and at one point one of the kittens was missing for almost ten minutes until we realized momma had put the kitten in THE LAUNDREY BASKET! just the one kitten, and she was perfectly happy with her nesting box too. we joke that she got tired of the kitten mischief and put it in time out lmao.
The happiness of living with a cat can be energizing in many ways. Some people may say that the presence of a cat has made them more expressive and active than when they are alone, and some owners may say that they are able to work harder because they want to go home early and romp with their cat.💖💖💖😻😻😻💋💋💋💋💋
Oh, definitely! 🥰 Having cats saved my aunt after my cousin left the house. She had someone to talk to, take care of, cuddle and all that. Cats are the best.
It was thanks to your videos that i was able to take in my cat this past year. She had been orphaned and my coworker didnt know what to do with her (she was only 2 weeks old) i was scared but i have been watching your videos for a while now so i decided to take her in. Ill say she is either REALLY sturdy or i was able to pull through and help her. I remember my other coworker saying “shes so little its alot of work..” and i knew he was right but i couldnt just leave her no one else would take her.. Shes so big now shes this fluffy lovely monster and i love her and i dont think i could of done it if i hadnt been for your videos. Thank you so much!
I saved a momma cat with 5 kittens and she used to make air biscuits when I pet her belly like this momma. She’s the only cat out of 7 that I’ve had that liked her belly rubbed. Found homes for her babies and I kept her. She was always a bit feral and skittish, but the sweetest cat ever.
Hi Hannah, after watching your videos on Kitten care, I started loving kittens. You made them look soo lovable. The way you educate through your videos will surely bring lot more awareness to people like me.
Usually I love your quirky names for the cats, but I can't think of a cat less like a firework than mama cat here 😂 love what you do, hoping to do the same in the future when I have my own place
What a sweet, darling mama and babies! But thank you, Hannah for helping to end the cycle of constant kittens! We certainly don’t need any more running around when there are so many adorable kittens (and adult cats!!) who need good, loving homes 💖
My sweet little furball had a first clutter of 4 big boys while herself being quite a petite cat. And while we monitored her closely before and during birth (it helps that she decided to have her babies on my bed and keep them in my room) she was loosing weight rapidly after birth and had a low bit consistent fever for days. I was so so worried and she just couldn't seem to hold her weight on her bones, we started giving her in between snacks and feeding her very protein high food, kitten food, raw meat like liver (our other cat didn't particularly like her kittens but still brought her mice and birds) but it still took a long while to get her up again. Luckily this winter she is in much better condition and actually now weighs a good 4kg, which you will notice when she decides to sleep on your chest or legs. Edit: Point is - feed your mama cats with all the good stuff, she probably needs it
Dear kitten lady: thank you so much for this video. I had a spay surgery scheduled early this morning for a pregnant rescue of mine but she gave birth right before I was about to leave for the appt. I have been doing TNR for years but never dealt with a cat giving birth. Had no idea she was soooo pregnant. Previous pregnant cats I've rescued were usually very early on and the last pregnant cat turned out to have hydrometra. This video was so helpful as I spent hours with her as she gave birth doing my best to support her. She's doing a great job as a momma and this was a great resource to make sure that the momma and all SEVEN kittens are ok. Thanks for all you do!
Our neighborhood stray gave birth in the small cube we provided for cold weather. She moved her 4 babies a few days later, don't know where. 5 weeks later, we were doing some work on our roof and discovered she brought 2 up and under our solar panels. Took 2 hrs to retrieve them. Next day, 1 more. The 4th was hidden in our next door neighbor's shed; we could hear crying for a couple days. Mom got TNR'D, I fostered them for 3 weeks and found furrever homes for all. Mama is a permanent resident.
Just stopping by to say thank you! We ended up taking in a 4-day old baby kitten from an abandoned litter and weren’t sure where to begin. At times I doubted our decision and felt like I was in over my head. I’m happy to report that Cleo is now a happy, spunky 9 month old kitty who we adore. Thank you for all you do and for sharing your knowledge with others. It was truly a rewarding experience and we couldn’t have done it without you!

Awww cute babies, once my cat had TWELVE KITTENS! She was a amazing mom too, all the kittens are just a year old now and most got adopted (we kept four of them). Their names are: Selki (white, mom) Seal (little pale gray Tom) peddleshade (black/very dark brown she cat, one of the ones we kept) lilystone (pale gray, she cat, one of the ones we kept) dandelionclaw (black with white paws and dot on chest, Tom, one of the ones we kept) Icy (white Tom) Eclipse (black she cat) Solaris (orange/white Tom) Luna (pale gray she cat) starieyes (white she cat) Lavenderlune (pale gray she cat, one of the ones we kept) willow (pale gray she cat) Morningglory (orange she cat).

The babies are adorable but mama has both stolen and broken my heart with her cute air biscuits. I hope she can go to a good home with one of her babies. Anyone would be lucky to have such a loving little beauty 😍
Thank you for the helpful tips. I am taking care of an abandoned pet mother, she just gave birth to kittens yesterday. I have a tent, a bed, a huge clean litter box with pads, and a few blankets laying around, but she likes to just sleep at the carpet since she gave birth.
i know how already luckily by experience as i had a mama cat (who i sadly had to rehome but shes still in the family same with her 3 kittens i had to rehome they are with my family still so i can visit them) her name was rosie and my ex let her out before i could get her done so she came back pregnant she had 5 kittens 2 of which i still own
Such a good video. I knew all this stuff, but it’s nice to see it anyway. What a good momma! Hopefully she’ll find a lovely new home where she isn’t dumped on the street. 😎🇬🇧🇺🇸
This reminds me when I was a kid and my little sister’s cat had kittens. We were very involved with them everyday, seeing who would open their ears or eyes first and when ever the mom went to go get food we were always there making sure that they were ok, cuddling them whenever they would start meowing. But I’m glad we got mamma spayed. Her health improved and it was the only responsible thing to do.
Happy New Year to you and your family, What a beautiful Mama cat and those kittens, too cute 😍 Keep being a lovely foster carer for these poor furbabies and keep being an advocate for spaying and neutering 🌟
I’ve been fostering kittens for a little over two years but I’ve never fostered a mom and i’ll be taking on a momma and her three boys this weekend so this video helps a ton! 🥰
Kitten Lady, I can’t really find the words to describe you, but all I can say is, I wouldn’t mind being reincarnated as a stray cat and being looked after by you. You appear to provide total holistic care for these animals beyond food and comfort.Truly phenomenal human being🤩🤩🤗🤗💕Love you to bits, may all gods blessings rain down on you.💕💕
My cat was a stray I found, in 2020. best part of 2020. She had food outside, at the ready. Only she ate the food, and she kept getting bigger... I noticed one day, while petting her, he belly was moving. I then realized she was pregnant, and about that time, she started nesting. She found a nice, cozy place, and had babies one day while I was at work. I was pleasantly surprised when I seen 4 little fur balls. 3 girls, calico, and one orange boy. My friends took 2 at around a year old, and their mom took the other, about the same time. Fast forward, and I have one of my cat's babies and her. They are inseparable. Lily(the kitten's name) is definitely a momma's girl. They help me so much by just existing and I love them dearly.
i don't know about that. our cat, Tommie actually kind of belongs to the dog, she brought the cat home, she adopted her she raised her. When she had kittens, Mable watched from 1 inch away for about 9 hours straight, she totally midwiffed the shit out of the entire situation, she was actually the only one that knew what to do
She's isn't speaking about generally having a cat. Her videos are directed at people who foster. If you're fostering a mama cat and her kittens, she doesn't know your other animals and will be stressed.
Our cat just gave birth to five little kitties. Indeed, happy new year! This is seriously what I need. You're an angel, as always ❤️ Quick question: I noticed the Mama cat have black patches on the side of her one breast. I just noticed it now and I'm sure she doesn't have that when she gave birth (3 days ago). I'm not sure if that's mastitis because I don't see any inflammation at all. Sure it's a little swollen but the color is still normal.
I cant wait to start fostering again! i have exams right now so we're waiting to start fostering again (plus there are no kittens being born in my area right now). I love watching them grow up and helping them!
I took in a kitty last year (or rather, she learnt to use my dog door and I bought a litter box and food 😅) she started gaining weight and when I took her in to her spayed the vet said she was pregnant and estimated her age to be less than a year. I fed her kitten food throughout the pregnancy and nursing, but she is now 2 months out from the kittens all heading to their fur-ever homes and her spay and I think she might have to be switched to cat food now… she’s getting chunky again and this time there’s no chance of a pregnancy 😹🙈

Never had any cats then we took in stray mama and 8 kittens.according to kitten lady we did it right.all got adopted and mother stayed with us.I was rewarding.
Firework is so sweet, I'm glad she will have such a wonderful life thanks to you guys after she's done raising these cuties. I have a little crush on Smooch
The babies are adorable but mama has both stolen and broken my heart with her cute air biscuits. I hope she can go to a good home with one of her babies. Anyone would be lucky to have such a loving little beauty 😍
I love fostering the moms with babies. It's amazing seeing how strong of nurturers they are.
I'm gonna need like a 30 minute ASMR video of just mom and babies during a feeding session XD
Thank you for the helpful tips. I am taking care of an abandoned pet mother, she just gave birth to kittens yesterday. I have a tent, a bed, a huge clean litter box with pads, and a few blankets laying around, but she likes to just sleep at the carpet since she gave birth.
I'm in love with that Mama. I really hope she gets an amazing human to give her everything she could ask for.
I have a mumma and 5 babies at the moment - such a rewarding experience! They have a big pen in our living room in a corner behind our couch.
i know how already luckily by experience as i had a mama cat (who i sadly had to rehome but shes still in the family same with her 3 kittens i had to rehome they are with my family still so i can visit them) her name was rosie and my ex let her out before i could get her done so she came back pregnant she had 5 kittens 2 of which i still own
Mama cat looks like the nicest cat! I hope all have a great life together!
Such a good video. I knew all this stuff, but it’s nice to see it anyway. What a good momma! Hopefully she’ll find a lovely new home where she isn’t dumped on the street. 😎🇬🇧🇺🇸
The mamma is beautiful ! Whoever gets her will be so lucky
I've learnt alot from your videos , and i love them soooooo much !
Keep up the good work 😻😻
This reminds me when I was a kid and my little sister’s cat had kittens. We were very involved with them everyday, seeing who would open their ears or eyes first and when ever the mom went to go get food we were always there making sure that they were ok, cuddling them whenever they would start meowing. But I’m glad we got mamma spayed. Her health improved and it was the only responsible thing to do.
Definitely needed this today!
My newest rescue kitty had babies this morning🙂... Thanks for sharing this,
James & Rescue Kitties & Snowvan
Make sure you get them all spayed and neutered :)
What a sweet and happy-looking mother cat!
My goodness, mama is so sweet! Orange females are a gift
She melts my heart what a sweetheart.💞💞💞💞Love those ginger babies 💞💖💗Thank God she and her babies are safe and warm.
Happy New Year to you and your family,
What a beautiful Mama cat and those kittens, too cute 😍
Keep being a lovely foster carer for these poor furbabies and keep being an advocate for spaying and neutering 🌟
I’ve been fostering kittens for a little over two years but I’ve never fostered a mom and i’ll be taking on a momma and her three boys this weekend so this video helps a ton! 🥰
Sweet kitties. I wish I could adopt the whole family.
Oh, you are such a sweetheart - thank you for educating us 🥰🐈👩🦳
I started fostering last summer and I’d love to get my second litter soon!
Mama and her babies are so precious! It's been so great keeping up with them on instagram!
You have inspired me so much! I even helped my adorable cat Moony give birth when I was 13 and you helped a ton! Love your videos thx!☺️
Please tell your parents to get your cat fixed so that she can’t have any more kittens.
No worries she’s spayed now and her kittens have homes.
@@moony8831 I would like some videos of your kitty cat named Moony, please!
@@CryBlueofZ sure I just started posting!
We had a cat in our garage then noticed she was pregnant. Thank you for all of your help. We learned how to take care of the cat and her 2 kitties.
I could watch mama firework all day. True ASMR with her biscuits and purring.
This video was informative as well as therapeutic...such calm and peaceful energy ❤
me with no cats watching this at 1:00 AM
Oh my goooosh when she pawed at the camera/you while feeding. So cute
Omg ! A orange mama ! 🥰😍❤️
Kitten Lady, I can’t really find the words to describe you, but all I can say is, I wouldn’t mind being reincarnated as a stray cat and being looked after by you. You appear to provide total holistic care for these animals beyond food and comfort.Truly phenomenal human being🤩🤩🤗🤗💕Love you to bits, may all gods blessings rain down on you.💕💕
Happy new year Hannah, Mama Firework and her babies
The mama is precious!
This was both relaxing to watch and very educational. Also, this new look is great on you!
Aw I love this little cat family!
I've been caring for cats since I was 10.
That’s amazing I helped my cat give birth when I was 13! Her kittens are all in their forever homes now!
Adorable mommy and those tiny little babies 😍❤️😍❤️. I am amazed at those tiny claws, how they look on new born ❤️❤️
Our cat just gave birth to five little kitties. Indeed, happy new year! This is seriously what I need. You're an angel, as always ❤️
Quick question: I noticed the Mama cat have black patches on the side of her one breast.
Has seen your video on how to care for a Mama Cat and Kittens many times. The opening few seconds is just Soooooooooo Cute. One of my top videos of all time.
