  • Francis of Assisi is known the world over for his love of nature and compassion for his fellow human beings. Often quoted, he is also known for his devotion to peace. His life, like our personal journeys toward enlightenment, can be paralleled with the seven steps of the alchemical process and their mystical meanings. In this video, we learn more about Francis of Assisi and participate in a special meditation inspired by his example.

What a wonderful presentation. Thank you so much for making and sharing this Soror Ingrid, I have learned so much from it. The prayer at the end resonated with me so much, it's sentiments I wish to embody on a daily basis. Peace Profound.

Does the current pope 266 have connections with Francis of Assisi? And interesting how you say the first alchemical process is calcification as this is the first and also the fastest chemical reaction that takes place in fertilisation in the development process :) I feel I have been told everything before and only now starting to connect it all :)

I was having a relaxing walk in a Catholic school garden, a free mini book of St Assisi caught my attention. It said something about he was sent by his superiors to the South or where ever to "sought out" the Cathar Heretics. Put me off the book. I was thinking was that just propaganda or did he go as a double agent or what? Anyone know of this history?
EDIT just went and found the book again; the book is of St Anthony, saying Francis Assisi in 1224CE gave permission to St Anthony to teach theology to the brothers. Then; 1224 (St Anthony) "Began mission to preach in France (against the Cathar heresy)" . From "The Handbook Of Devotion To St. Anthony".
